Hotel Orchid

Great experience staying in this hotel. Excellent location, very near and walking distance to shopping area and local restaurants. We was lucky to be upgraded to a Superior room with window. The hotel provided complimentary breakfast was also very good. The staffs services are excellent throughout and they are very attentive. We are very happy and much appreciated being served by them. We booked this hotel online as we had some credit mileage eligible for discount. The owner did acknowledge the online booking and discount but gave us the shady rooms at the back of the hotel. The room we got was remotely not what it looked online

It's very much near to Guwahati Railway Station, Only 400-500metre walking distance, The hotel is on the road. Parking is available.

Good hotel with spacious room with a service person nathda. I booked it recently for my friend. He had given me good reports about this hotel. Good room service staff. Very near to Nehru stadium. All facilities is nearby which a tourist needs. Though it is located at a small road, you can get communication easyly.

They did a renovation recently and everything looks fresh. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Staff is quite responsive and can cook anything for you but don't expect lasagna and all. Situated in a prime location nearer to the Railway Station and to the hub of the city. Value for money.

I required a mattress for my child of 2 yrs as there was a chance of falling from the bed. But the sad part was that there was no information or caveat letting me know that they would be charging Rs.500/= which seems to be exhorbitant considering the room rent of Rs.1500/=. When I claimed for discount on the ground of being kept in dark of the rates, I was showcased as I should be knowing "that no service is free and definitely there is going to be charges". My point is that atleast when Rs.500/- is chargeable to a single mattress on the floor, I ought to know the extra liability of 35% on the room rent. The rates should be transparent. Finally I managed to convince them to refund me some amount at the cost of almost missing my flight.||||While leaving hotel for sightseeing at 8 am when i requested that the room be cleaned, was told that the cleaning would only happen at 9. A.M, but we returned back to the room at 12 noon to find no cleaning done!! ||||About the room, the room should have been a feet wider on all sides, We always felt that we would fall. There was no single hook to hang clothes in the bathroom or anywhere in the room. There was only one charging point so either I had to charge the mobile or use my laptop. There ought to be more than one charging points atleast three charging points. Location of the hotel is a bit away from the current market area but I would say average. ||||The best I like about the hotel was parking space in the ground from where lift could take the luggage to any floor of the hotel. ||||Since I am 100% vegetarian, I did not have any food there in the hotel. We had asked for tea but the tea was too sweet.

Location is great but its not up to the mark if we compare it with nearby rivals. Was a good place before but age is showing up. Cup for serving coffee was broken. Won't say anything about rooms as I went there for a coffee only.
