Gruham Sojourn Homestay

The place is located at a very nice posh location with cafes and restaurants very nearby. However You might not be able to locate it at first go as there is no signboard. But it is just above a very nice cafe. The rooms were decent and great value for money as per the price they charge. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. We had a train in the evening, but the staff was polite enough and allowed us to sit and wait in the reception even after checking out. However since it's a homestay do not keep very high expectations in terms of any luxury also there is no lift, so that might be a little issue with older people. But otherwise it's a great value for money place to stay.

Dishonest, uncaring people. Booked two nights through booking.com. Messages with the owner were free-flowing while it involved arranging the advance payment. Once that was sorted, my messages regarding clarification of bed size were ignored (I should have taken the hint). On arrival at approx 7pm on day of check in, and after stumbling around trying to find the front door in the dark, we found the rude caretaker only to be told that our room was only avaliable for one night as they had given it to someone else (presumably more important than me). The lies flowed like wine from the both the caretaker and then the owner via phone. Apparently he couldn't get hold of me - this didn't seem a problem when he wanted my money. The only positive, was I got my money back in the end. Not much consolation when you don't have a bed for the night in a new city. The place was practically in the dark when we arrived and the room was badly maintained so in the end we were glad to get away from there. Avoid.

Homestay is situated at Prime Location. Rooms and Bathrooms are well kept. The staff is very polite. Ola and Uber vehicles are reachable to this location. One can consider this location as a prime location, Railway status is approximately 1 km away. Nearby you have a lot of Restaurants and cafes. If you are devotional there is nearby a Shakti Peeth just 200 meters away(Maa Ugratara Devalaya)

It is at Lamb Road. Homestay consists of 1st floor 2nd floor. Very neat and clean, spacious rooms. Courteous staff. If you want to have lunch dinner, you have to inform them in advance. Overall a good experience

Best budget home stay on Lamb road Uzan bazar near jan pukhri that mean Two big beautiful and large ponds with hundreds of beautiful ducks. By ola around 140 rupees from Guwahati railway station and paltan bazar for homestay .Except kamakhya temple and government ferry ticket place, rest most tourist places are around 10 to 15 minute walk for normal person. Kalita and Sanjeev are good caretaker and cooked tasty meal on demand. We got ola mini for kamakhya for 189 rupees. Sorrunding is clean, peaceful and full of greenery. Allover best place to stay. Rooms are so spacious and well maintained.prime location although about 1.5 -- 2 kms from railway station. Service required to be improved but okay. Owner is very good person, caretakers also nice person

Overall experience was great, but twin single bed was a bit discomfort for couples. Felt like home. It was a bit hard to find cause the homestay's board was a bit small. It is right next to a cake shop
