Gibbon Backpackers Hostel

Rooms and beds were neat and tidy. Also our host was very friendly. I really enjoyed staying there. This hostel is very for socialization. Whether you are a solo traveller or a group , it's a great place to hangout and chill. Personally we felt very homely there. Must recommended...

Amazing place to stay in Guwahati with great person tp host. Neat and clean beds and washroom. Near to Anuradha cinema. Easy access to place. Came here to stay for a day but stayed for good 9 days.

I had a terrible experience at this hostel. The beds were infested with bed bugs, and I barely slept, managing only an hour of rest. Despite this serious issue, the staff seemed indifferent, as if it were normal. By morning, I was covered in bites, which was both uncomfortable and distressing. There are numerous comments about bed bugs, mosquitoes, and hygiene written on the walls, yet the staff does nothing to address it. I had booked for two nights but will be leaving after just one. I'm unsure if the owner will refund my money, but I strongly advise against staying here until they properly address these issues.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL. The Hostel is filthy. We had booked it and was the last stay of our Arunachal Nagaland Assam trip. We arrived very late at around 1 in the night and made the payment upon arrival without checking the rooms. We had opted for 2 dorm beds and one private room because these were the only available options. the private room is literally in front of a dump like thing and a sewage besides it. it was literally smelling like sewage in the room and it also didnt have attached washrooms. The washrooms provided were common washrooms which the caretaker used and were filthy. Big mosquitoes smelly rooms, filthy washrooms, and bad beds to sum it all. We didn't stay the night there and checked out at 3 in the night because it was unbearable.

You get what you pay for. After tax I paid 400 Rupee for a night but I had in my first bed bedbugs that were bitting me, I didn't feel comfortable showering there and in general there is mold all over the cellings. Staff were helpful and friendly but overall I personally would go for something more expensive and mainted than that places. It was good that the place had lockers so you can lock your items because there is no CCTV cameras or things in place.

To me, the Guwahati means the gibbon backpackers....It's a good environment to get together I say to those who like to hang out and spend time together, I must visit this place once. I really like talking to the caretaker Irshad , I like to talk to him, he seems to be his own person

Had a Great stay in gibbon. A must stay place for all the travellers. Budget friendly and great location.
