Hotel Royal Palace

I have the best experience at Hotel Royal Palace..I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Royal Palace, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I checked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive.. 5/5- *Excellent stay. Friendly staff, comfy rooms, great location. *-Royal Palace exceeded expectations. Luxurious and convenient. *-Fantastic hotel. Clean, modern, and delicious breakfast... Will sure visit Hotel Royal Palace again

Awesome rooms , best service all stuff are behaviours is very good .

The receptionist charged extra money. The rate for a non-AC room is 1100, but she asked us for 2500 because we are a couple (and we are adults).

Rooms are ok. Car parking difficult. Room service food difficult.

We paid 1680 cash for an AC room and we were not even given a bill (but we paid the tax...). We even had to pay for 2 bottles of water while there was no water provided in the room. Power cut occurred all night so I had neither light nor AC (but still I paid for an AC room). Water in the bathroom wasn't there in the evening, we could not shower. Sheets were disgusting, bed cover smelled very bad, walls full of stains. Most of all, the room smelt very badly cigarettes and as a woman, I felt very unsafe. One old man at the reception misbehaved and was very rude to us - rest of the team was ok. Avoid absolutely and go somewhere else anywhere nearby

We shared a very damp and moldy room with roaches, rats, and bed bugs. I have bug bites. So much damp mold, the bed was damp and the windows wet even. Mold on bathroom floors and walls. Rats visited through hole under the sink. We had Fan constantly on to hide the mold smell. But we got the non A/C room. Maybe A/C is drier. Staff was nice and helpful. But doesn't speak any English - although I don't expect that given that I'm in another country. Location was okay. Near bus stops. One restaurant across the street and one downstairs that only serves dosas after 11am and won't serve you unless you eat it in the back where it smells. Although that's no fault not the hotels - I'm just letting you know where to eat if you stay there.

We stayed there on two different dates, on the first date the room was neat and clean but on the other date we got a room which was very average, lacked basic amenities like charging point, geyser wasn't working. There are very few hotels available online at Barpeta Road, this is one of the hotels which one can book. **Avoid if you are travelling in a personal vehicle, no proper parking space available.
