Hotel Southern Grand, Vijayawada

I had a pleasant stay at Southern Grand, Vijayawada. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to major attractions in the city. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable environment for relaxation. The amenities, such as the free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and television, worked well. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail with the room setup. The hotel's restaurant offered a variety of delicious dishes, and the food quality was quite good. The breakfast buffet had a decent spread, and I enjoyed the local specialties.

Room is comfortable, breakfast is ok, not excellent. Bathroom doesn't have an exhaust. AC, TV are up and running good. For 3 adults, with extra bed for 24hrs the charges were 2670/- with free breakfast. I would suggest the hotel to a person i know as the stay was comfortable. The staff is well accommodating.

The rooms were decent for one night stay. The cleanliness could be better the bed sheet has some stain and they said that there is no housekeeping staff available after 9 in the hotel.

I was using this hotel previously, that time it was ok but now lot of changes taken place. Food quality also changed. Service also improved. Keep it up, refer for the family dining with great ambience and professional service

We booked banquet hall for retired officers function on 31-1-2025 . Initially we asked for 30-35 people and paid advance but before 3 days we asked to make arrangements for 55 people. We requested the concerned to keep the hall clean and other Dias arrangements. But till last minute we have to run after them for making arrangements. There is no proper attention by the staff and there is no coordination. We asked welcome drink for 55 people , they could serve very small quantity for 30 people only. Even for supplying tea as agreed , we had to fight . During lunch small quantities supplied, in the evening snacks are in sufficient even for 30 people but they billed for 59 people( I think they adjusted 35 people food for 59 and collected full money) The white cloth on Dias was very shabby and we requested to cover that with a carpet, they didn't do it. Moreover they said we have to get stage decorated by private people having tie up with hotel people. They don't have 'prestige to maintain Dias in such a shabby look. In the toilet urine censors not working getting stinky smell, even the door handle is in damaged condition totally dis appointed by worst administration and ambiance. Except lady receptionist all othe supervisory staff are arrogant and head strong doesn't have courtesy.Please don't book for functions and suffer

We have been taking tiffins in the restaurant when ever visited Vijayawada. The service rendered is very poor and it takes very long time to serve. Many times items were not ready even after 8 AM but the timing shown is 7:30 AM. It is informed that it is a Pure Veg but inside non-veg items prepared and sent outside orders through Swiggy or Zomato and served to customer in room stay. The wash rooms are highly untidy not cleaned frequently and regularly inspite of complaint given to front office persons. There are paan (Killi) spits on the walls and commodes in toilets. The maintenance is very poor and quality of the Hotel is deteriorating. In kitchen also loud shoutings occur between cook and stewards. Please take necessary action else the business may become zero shortly.

I have been experienced the food in arya bhavan (pure veg) restaurant in southern grand hotel.it was tasty and service also ok. They can improve little at the reception and at entrance

Stayed here in the hotel for couple of days. Rooms are good and the service is also very friendly. Would like to refer this to whomsoever visits Vijayawada, near by to the railway station or bus stand highly recommended to stay here
