I was happy that I got a room in Tirumala after months of waiting since I had booked it in advance. However, I deeply regretted it when I arrived. I had planned to stay for one night, but after seeing the room, I vacated it within hours. The room was completely damp, with half-peeled paint on the walls. The washrooms were not cleaned properly, with broken pipes, tiles, faucets, and commodes. Even using the wash basin was a nightmare, as the drained water would spill onto my feet. It was impossible to stay there with family, as the rooms were extremely old and poorly maintained. The fans rotated at a speed slower than a snail while making a loud, unbearable noise. The overall maintenance of the rooms was extremely poor. And for hot water, you have to take a bucket from your room, walk up and down 50 meters, and then return. Only one small bucket is provided in the room, and extra buckets will not be given. A single person would need to refill it at least twice to take a proper bath. In my early days, TTD administration used to be an inspiration for me, but nowadays, their focus seems to be more on collection and corruption--from higher officials to the lowest-level employees.

Room location is very near to the CRO office. I have booked for Rs. 100 /- room. Room, bathroom, washroom was very spacious and were enough for a small family of wife, husband and 2 children. Some cons are: 1. This is a very old building 2. No hot water, water is very very cold. If you visit in summer you can manage but in winter it is an adventure.

The room cost was only 100, with a 500 deposit, which was promptly returned after I vacated the room. The maintenance was good, and the availability of hot water was a big plus. This place is ideal for middle-class and lower-middle-class families looking for an affordable and comfortable stay. It's simple, clean, and serves its purpose well. Highly recommended for those visiting Tirumala on a budget!

Sapthagiri Rest House near Tirumala Tirupathi Temple: Decent stay for 100/night. The room was average, but bearable for 1 night if you're flexible. Cleanliness & amenities were basic. Good for budget-conscious pilgrims. While the room was average, its prime location made up for it. We found plenty of food options nearby and a shopping complex within walking distance. The best part? It's just a short bridge walk from the Temple Gate!
