SVA Hotel Grand

One month back We went this Hotel with family, ordered food items approximately worth about 2000/-, but one Waiter argued with us that he wouldn't give us curd chutney,Today too, I had the same bitter experience at this hotel. about just curd chutney,Finally, they billed for that too.It's not good that they behaved like that in such a big hotel for a worthless yogurt chutney, it diminishes the reputation of the hotel.

Staying a night at this hotel was an extremely bad experience. They charged Rs. 2700 per night for an executive room, but the condition of the room was unacceptable. The room was filled with mosquitoes, every wall had seepage and moisture, and the window screens seemed to have not been cleaned for decades. They provided a small, thick blanket and mismatched pillows. The bed linen was faded, and the cupboard was dirty. The AC and fans looked very old and were hanging in an unsafe condition. There wasn't a single bed light or ceiling light in the room. The bathroom was in terrible condition--very small and inconvenient to use. They had used normal skid tiles instead of anti-skid ones, making it unsafe. The hotel staff couldn't speak or understand English or Hindi, communicating only in their local language. While their dedication to their mother tongue is commendable, for service purposes, a basic understanding of national languages is necessary. This night stay ruined my family trip, as I spent the entire night killing mosquitoes. Despite informing them that I am from Berhampur, I received such poor treatment. It raises concerns about how they might treat guests from outside the area. Except for the location, the hotel deserves zero ratings overall. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. Additionally, the food quality was very poor.

Worest chiken dum biryani I ever seen... I didn't know what type of masala thay use...fully very very bad taste..

Taste of food at 8:30 has no quality in it and are very cold.It has very less quantity with bad quality.it doesn't worth the money.

This hotel was very bad. Staff were very rude. Food was worst. Staff uses vulgar words. Not safe to go with families

This was my second visit and both the times the issue was ... they intentionally stop Lift and AC in rooms. A cheap way to gain profit by making customers trouble. Even today 18th Dec 2024 , we had a function and they stopped AC and we thought it was power out later when we checked we see they stopped the main switch of room . We wanted to go to function hall which was on 3rd floor and they stopped lift and were saying it's not working. But actually it was working . Same happened previously and even now. Worst and CHEAP ways to gain profits. They need to understand that old and elder people who have health issues can't go on steps. Even the boy who was present didn't bothered to on the lift might be this was backed by owner himself. Be careful before booking this hall and make sure u make a point to not stop lift AC during function timing

I had a very bad experience at this Restaurant. I ordered chicken biryani and they delivered biryani where the chicken is spoiled. I am sure they are using rotten chicken. Server was ready to replace the dish with some other, when i told that the chicken is bad. This clearly shows that they are totally aware of the food they are delivering. Please be careful while going to grand for lunch or dinner. Hope food safety and standards department will visit this hotel for checking. I suggest not to go to this restaurant.
