Chankya Hotel and Lodge

Excellent place, opposite bus stand, rooms very good, lift, very economical, service very homely. A very good stay.||I checked in after 11 PM and was amazed to be received very nicely with fast check in to room. Room was completely ready without any amiss in the middle of the night.||First day my taxi did not come. Hotel people organised one by a call and that also came within 15 minutes. ||I stayed for 5 days - there are 3-4 good eat out places nearby. Yes, bus stand area is little congested - but hotel is spacious and has good parking area also.

Location good but it is not prominent. Only one side board which we missed. Service is hopeless. We could not get morning coffee or tea despite ordering the same. Telephone 9 was ringing and nobody picks up till 8 am. Rooms are not big enough to accommodate an additional bed. The bathroom is congested. For the price, we could have a better option.

We stayed here for a night on 9th January 2025, and the experience was disappointing. The receptionist's behavior was unprofessional and unhelpful. No matter what we asked for, the response was always a flat "no." The hotel displays boards claiming free mineral water is provided, but when we asked, we were informed that it's just normal water from the tank. The bathrooms were another major drawback - very cramped, and in some rooms, the water facilities were inadequate. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay.

I stayed day here. Room is decent in size. The location is exactly opposite to busstand. Price is also affordable changed 1520/day(Non AC)

Hotel is located Opposite to bus stand and very convenient to catch bus for Mahanadi. Hotel is good but need to improve service and cleanliness of the rooms.

Good room nice facility , 24/7 hot water day time service need to be improve, I stayed 2 days with family friendly in nature.

Horrible room maintenance and service. There were left over saches of shampoo in the washroom and chocolate all over the floor when I got it. I asked them to clean the room, but they sent someone only the next day, and they just left in two minutes. With most of the things remaining there itself. The cleaners and actually even the receptionist don't understand hindi/english properly. The receptionist is also very rude. The wifi is also not working. The hotel also has a bar in the premises and there drunkards on my floor who literally weren't able to walk properly. Only good thing is that the rooms are nice if maintained well.
