Good one but not suitable for family

The accommodations are vintage, ideal for a trio sharing one room. While some may find the charm in its age, the services could use improvement--unfortunately, there's a lack of consistent hot water. It's opposite to busstand

It's on the bypass right opposite to RTC bus stop and a movie hall. It doesn't have a good parking but the hotel security can assist you to park right in front of the hotel.||Cons: As per instructions, No drinking smoking eating outside food allowed in the rooms. But the cleaning boys and assistants tell you to take it easy and carry on with everything inside the room.||Tip: try green park for food and drinks. Good place just 10 minutes walk. Visit Lepakshi, 15 km.

I recently stayed two consecutive nights at two very different hotels in Andhra Pradesh. The first cost around Rs3000, and the second exactly Rs950. The second was the Ajantha Delux Lodge in Hindupur. Clearly, you don't expect the same level of amenity when you are paying such different tariffs. However, there are qualities you are entitled to expect regardless, and these include courteous staff, a clean room, a clean washing area /toilet, and a reasonably comfortable bed. ||||So how does the Ajantha shape up? It's a mixed bag, really. Deluxe it is not. However, the staff were always courteous. The room to which I was allocated was for the most part clean. The toilet flushed very effectively with a veritable torrent of water. There was a good towel. A hefty lock ensured the room was effectively protected from intruders. The room was an adequate size.||||However, and you knew this was coming, there are definite minuses. For starters, the bed was not comfortable. The mattress was way too thin. What is more, only one sheet was provided on the bed, and no blanket. I requested a second sheet and a blanket. I got the sheet, but was told the hotel didn't have any blankets. Are they serious?||||I was assigned a room on the first floor facing onto the street, and the noise of the traffic was really loud. So come prepared with noise-reducing ear-plugs, or better still request a room at the back of the hotel. Hot water is only available between 06:00 and 09:30, but whilst that turned out to be the case, the water was more warm than hot. Perhaps it was better closer to 09:30 than at 06:30. There is no shower, which was a surprise, but at least that meant the water didn't spread over the entire bathroom. So you wash at the wash-basin and make use of the large bucket. The small shelf in the bathroom had a pile of cigarette butts on it, which for me was a big negative in terms of cleanliness.||||The room had a/c, so that is a positive, and it worked, but the ceiling fan had but one speed, and that was very fast. The switch that adjusted the speed was broken.||||||The hotel can't do much about the street noise, or the view of the rubbish dump from the small balcony. But I would suggest it gradually replace those flimsy mattresses, and have the fan mechanism repaired so that the fan speed can be adjusted. As well, it should automatically provide two sheets on the bed, and at least have a few blankets on hand, should one be requested. Those improvements would mean that at Rs950, or even a little more, the Ajantha would be very good value.||||Meals are not available at the hotel, but the restaurant next door does an excellent lunch and dinner, and the number of patrons confirmed the high quality. Obviuously the locals agree it's very good value, and service is terrific. For breakfast, head a little further down the street (really just a few metres) for a excellent breakfast from 07:00 onwards. Again, good service, and quite exceptionally modest in price.||||It gives me no pleasure to write a negative review of the Ajantha Lodge, and it wouldn't take much effort to make it so much better. Hindupur is a pleasant town, and there are some really interesting attractions - Lepakshi, Gooti Fort, Madakasira and the Madhugiri Monolith - within easy driving distance.

A very old style rooms, but they provide at cheap rate. Service is Good as they dont have any phones in rooms, so everytime u need to make a phone call for the service. Room size is not so big, too much traffic noise is there. But for the price segment u can go for it.

Stayed for two nights during my visit to hindupur. Average building, just okay rooms. But for a place like hindupur, its hard to find better lodge or hotel than this one. Surrounded by many eateries. Bus stand in front of lodge, From where one can find bus for anantapur and bangalore easily. Rickshaw stand is also in the front of lodge, rickshaw for old bus stand or railway station is easily available. One can reach this lodge from railway station by saying to get drop at ajanta lodge or new bus stand neat petrol pump.

The Lodge Is Not Cleanly Maintained. Specially The Non AC Rooms. AC Rooms Are Adjustable For A Single Person As D Bed And D Room Sizes R Very Smsll. Washrooms R OK Bt The Buckets R In D Worst Condition, No Hot Water Facility. No Experience About Room Service.

nice lodge and good staff. location good but some noise problem, please take ac room otherwise traffic noise problem, opp. roadway bus station, hindupur rly station to ajanta lodge auto rikshaw charge rs. 60 to 70.
