Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is a significant bird sanctuary located in the Andhra Pradesh state of India. It's situated in the Nellore district, near the village of Nelapattu. The sanctuary is renowned for its large population of migratory birds, especially during the winter months. It is home to various species of birds, including the endangered Spot-billed Pelican. The sanctuary spreads across a vast area and features a mix of wetlands, lagoons, and dry landscapes, providing a perfect habitat for a wide range of bird species. It is in shambles now. Abandoned, ghost buildings. Checked with locals, looks like it has not been operating since COVID lockdown. A pity, since the location, and building structure design ( single villa-like on individual stilts) makes it great right next to Pulicat lake.

The infrastructure of the resorts is too good , but the area , locality slums near it and the access road to the site makes it not suitable for a safe stay.
