Haritha Beach Resort Suryalanka

The most unpleasant stay of my life was at Haritha Beach Resort, Suryalanka.||Nothing about this property was satisfactory, apart from its location and the lack of alternative accommodation nearby. The resort seems to exploit its monopoly, showing little interest in guest experience or service quality. The staff, including the management, appeared indifferent to guest complaints--often responding with laughter instead of action.||Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation urgently needs to take serious action or consider shutting down this property.||We paid Rs. 4500 + taxes per room and had booked 2 rooms. Below are some key issues we encountered:||1. Upon arrival, there was no one at the gate. We had to wait unnecessarily for someone to show up and open it.||2. The staff at the reception was disinterested and unresponsive. They offered complimentary water bottles, but when we asked for cold water (considering the 41degC heat), we were told "These are complimentary bottles, and if you want cold water, buy it from the restaurant".||3. The room was in terrible shape, despite us booking a deluxe room. The door lock was broken, and when we requested a different room, it had similar issues. Basic amenities were missing--no glasses, kettle, or tea kit. Only one towel was provided per room, and staff refused to give an additional one saying we only give one towel. The bathroom was in poor condition--no toiletries, broken taps, a cracked mirror, and filthy buckets. The yellowed flooring looked like it had not been cleaned in ages. There were no hooks or hangers to hang clothes. The tap water was extremely salty, making it hard to even brush our teeth. This is unlike any other beach property I have visited.||4. There were no intercoms in the room, and the only way to contact the reception or restaurant was via mobile phone. Unfortunately, there was no mobile signal on the property. Even when we managed to connect a call after repeated attempts, no one answered.||5. The second room we booked had the same problems as the first, with added issues--both the air conditioner and the ceiling fan stopped working. Despite multiple requests, a staff member only came after some time and managed to fix it. It is worth mentioning that the bedsheet provided was of such poor quality that it tore while the staff adjusted it. Instead of replacing it, he simply said that bedsheets are only changed in the mornings, and nothing could be done.||6. When we arrived at the restaurant for lunch, it felt like stepping into an oven due to the heat inside. Although there were four split ACs and two portable units, only one AC was turned on. Staff informed us that the others were not operational. They had also placed two pedestal fans, which were ineffective and only provided after we asked.||7. It took around 10-15 minutes just to place our order because no one was responding when we tried to get their attention. When the food finally arrived, no spoons were provided. Upon request, we were given flimsy plastic spoons for eating fried rice. When we asked for steel spoons, the staff initially said they didn't have any, and later claimed they avoid using them because they get spoiled in the sun. We approached the Manager, who responded dismissively, insisting that spoons were available and all ACs were functioning. After some back-and-forth, he finally called a staff member, and we were given proper spoons. When we raised concerns about the room conditions, the Manager claimed renovations were ongoing. We asked him why the property was open for bookings under such conditions--his only response was silence.||8. While we were eating, we discovered a strand of hair in the food--raising serious concerns about kitchen hygiene. When we reported it, the staff initially denied it and then began arguing. They bizarrely blamed another guest sitting nearby, claiming the woman's hair had blown into our food because she was sitting in front of a fan. This explanation was not only absurd but also dismissive.||9. The plates provided were of extremely poor quality--yellowed and seemingly unwashed, resembling cheap plastic. It's hard to imagine how the establishment sourced such substandard crockery. Considering the price we paid, the quality of the dining ware was shockingly low.||10. The complimentary breakfast was only available for one hour, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Once again, there were issues with the cutlery, and the only beverage option was poorly made tea served in cheap paper cups--no coffee or drinking water was provided. The cups were so flimsy, you would find better ones at a roadside stall.||11. The staff kept repeating that check-out was at 9:00 AM sharp. On the day of our departure, someone came to our room twice before 8:30 AM to remind us. When we were finally ready to check out, no one was available at the reception--not even the manager. We left the keys in the room and proceeded to the parking area. Shockingly, the staff who provided absolutely no service had the audacity to ask for a tip when we were leaving.||Overall, this resort is nothing short of a scam for tourist hoping for a relaxing beachside experience. The complete lack of maintenance, hygiene, customer service, and basic courtesy is alarming. The staff, including the management, show no interest in their duties. I strongly urge the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department to take strict measures.

After renovating the rooms are very clean and comfortable... room service is very good... beach view from the room... best beach front resorts in Andhra Pradesh..... But salt water in bathroom... Need to improve some more things like taste of breakfast and keep WiFi for rooms..

Rooms and location are great. The resort has its own opening to the beach, which is the best thing about this resort. The only issue in the room is that you will get salty water in the tap also. They do not have good arrangements of food. You have to manage with very limited options.

Disappointing Experience at Suryalanka Haritha Resorts - Not Worth the Price! I recently visited Suryalanka Haritha Resorts, and I must say it was a very disappointing experience compared to my previous visit in 2021. The quality has deteriorated drastically, and I would not recommend spending 3,500 for this. Major Issues Faced: Strict Beach Restrictions: The beach closes at 5 PM, and the police pressure everyone to vacate. Later, when we tried going back after an hour, Haritha Resorts' security guard forced us to leave--this was extremely frustrating and unnecessary. Food Quality & Dining Experience: Last time, only food was bad, but now everything has declined. The free breakfast experience was awful--only two table fans for a crowded restaurant made it extremely suffocating, especially for families with kids. This time, I had to go out and have food both lunch and dinner as outside food was not allowed. Terrible Room & Facilities: Washroom taps were in extremely poor condition (I've attached an image for reference). Safety grills were held together with plastic wire--a serious safety hazard. The door lock was not proper, which made security a major concern. Final Verdict: Not Worth the Price! For 3,500, this resort is not worth it at all. The service, food, cleanliness, and overall experience have gone completely downhill. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

The property location is best, but whole property is under construction. The restaurant is not working, they provide food in room. Staff is cooperative but lacks basic amenities. Hotels.com will accept bookings, but they do not have any tie up with This resort. So your booking will not be honored. Despite confirmed booking from Hotels.com, i have to book room on the spot at resort and pay by my own. Booking is allowed only on AP tourism website, and not on Hotels.com.

Nice to stay and relax.. Right next to the beach. Location wise it can't get any better than this. Breakfast is decent. Food is alright. There are some cottages under construction even during late evenings so slight disturbance at the moment, not too much. Beach gets vacated at 6pm for public. We can enjoy quiet evenings on the beach till 9pm when the lights completely go off and we are done for the day

Perfect getaway for every age group Food is nice, the view is awesome, rooms are good, water is salty but can order clean water for bathing.

Room is Okey but salty water in tab. Restruent but no item available as mentioned in menu and even plain rice also not available. Restaurant ac is not working.. Even after given order food delivery services is too late... Not recommending to anyone.. Wanted to visit beach then have ur food outside and accommodation in baptla.
