This is definitely not a hotel. The owner stays at the top floor. There are just two tables and few chairs which make the dining area. The price at which we booked, we were expecting a good hotel as the name suggested, but it was more of a homestay. The breakfast was not a buffet but just one item. Location was good near to cellular jail and market. Hotel staff was good and the food was good, more like home cooked. The owner was nice, even though she was not in Port Blair when we visited but she called us to inquire about our stay. But the disappointing part were the rooms (very small) and overall ambience.

We had stayed at Ross View Hotels for 5 nights, booked through MakeMyTrip. True to the other positive reviews I had read about this hotel, it was indeed a pleasant and memorable experience overall staying here. The owner, Mr. Ajay Singh, took personal care of us and provided us with valuable tips for our sightseeing trips. We had breakfast one day and dinner one day and managed our other meals outside to cope with our tight itinerary. The food was delectable and the portions were generous. You will have to allow 45 mins to 1 hour preparation time though. The room itself, though a bit compact for 3 members, was quite cosy and had all amenities like geyser, TV, air conditioning etc. in addition to clean bathrooms. The best part about this hotel is its strategic location. Aberdeen Jetty (from where ferries ply back and forth to Ross Island and North Bay Island) and the Cellular Jail are within walking distance from here. An auto ride to Haddo Jetty, from where Makruzz and other ferries ply to and from Havelock & Neil Islands, will cost you Rs.100. For pure South Indian vegetarians like me who crave idli/dosa/pongal, pure vegetarian restaurants nearby like Annapoorna and Kattabomman provided the much needed gastronomical relief. Aberdeen Bazaar is an interesting stretch nearby if you want to shop for T-shirts, shorts, bags, goggles etc. or if you're looking for some quick eats. An evening stroll along the coast from Marina Park to Tiranga Memorial is a highly recommended late evening activity.

Super convenient location- walking distance for Cellular Jail and Aberdeen Jetty for Ross island. Spent two nights and the hotel with a friend, and we thought it was our favourite place we stayed at during our trip. We had two other friends at a different b&b and they had come round to ours to hang out a lot of the time. Anita, the owner of the hotel was such an amazing lady who was born and bred there so she knew everything and everyone on the island. She organised all our activities with great deals so it was a pleasure to stay. Definitely recommend this place!

I have stayed at Ross View Hotel and Resort for 8 nights with my wife. I could say it is the best place to stay not only in port blair but in whole andaman islands. If you are looking for a place with hospitality, care, guidance you should chose this place. The place is very neat and clean, well organized. The owner of the hotel Anita is the best host you will see in your entire life. She will help you to organize all the trips around the andamans. From Ross Island to Baratand, from Northbay to Neil. She has four wheeler, two wheeler arranged at the door step with the same/lower rate than the local rates. She even books all the jetty/cruise tickets for you. Once you arrive at Ross View you can stop thinking about the logistics that she will take care. In andaman these bookings are very crucial if you have no proper agent or sources. The hotel has very cozy rooms. All types of amenities like wifi, hot water, tv everything is there. It has a 24/7 dining restaurant where you can order your choice of foods from a variety of dishes including andaman special sea foods. Also you can specify the spice limit as you like. I am very lucky and grateful to Anita for arranging everything that I wanted. I saw a lot of tourists complaining about the agents about booking, rooms, cars but I am fortunate that I did not face anything like something. All credits goes to Ross View Hotel. Thanks Anita about your hospitality and care and what a lovely host you are. I felt like I was staying with my family. Will come again.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights with a confirmed hotel reservation.||From IXZ, I booked a pre paid taxi($2), arriving here at 3 PM. After filling out the standard guest forms and checking them in detail, we followed a young portress who carried our bag up a flight of steps to our rear executive, passing through the balcony lounge with a nice view to Ross Island. ||Our adequate sized #203 had a comfortable king, 1 small nightstand, easy chair and table, shelf with water and large TV above with Euro News in English, closet, and a large bathroom with soap/shampoo and the dreaded open shower. The bathroom was not air conditioned but had a good wall fan. We requested a hot pot, small table for our suitcase, a hand towel, and instructions for water heater. There was a refrigerator in the open-air hallway where we stored milk and juice.||The 7:30 AM breakfast included mango juice one day, choice of eggs, milk coffee, toast and jam, cereal with hot milk, and Indian food we avoided. We had secure lobby WIFI and unobtrusive AC. ||We walked 1 km east to the Ross Island ferry, 800m northeast to the Cellular Jail, and 400m northwest to the town center with fresh fruit stands and a very good supermarket. Although this small hotel caters to locals and their tastes, we found it a great location and decent value at $75/night. Staff was friendly and the manager spoke English.

My friend and I stayed at the Ross View Hotel for a couple of days after a rough plane ride to the Andaman Islands. The staff at the Ross View Hotel gave us a warm welcome. Ajay, the owner is very friendly! He helped book our tickets to Havelock, provided a basic packed breakfast and reserved a room for us upon our return. My friend was unwell, and Ajay was very accommodating and helpful. His yogurt drink must have done the trick because my friend was good as new the next day! Ajay had a good sense of humour too. ||||The rooms were air conditioned and clean. There is a nice communal patio that has a nice view of Ross island. We would stay there again!

It's an excellent cosy place to stay with family. Neat, clean and homely. You get a good view of Ross Island from the balcony on 1st floor where you can sit, relax and enjoy your meals. They serve good tasty home-like food. There is free Wi-Fi available near reception area. The place is close to jetty place (from where you take ferry for Ross Island or North Bay). Market and ATM are few steps away. It's safe and easily accessible. Now, the best part are the owners- Anita and her brother are really helpful- they pre-arranged ferry tickets for us, booked all cabs and guided us with patience on all our questions. I will highly recommend this place for a good family time if you are in Port Blair. Thanks to Anita for all your help !!

Had spent 3 nights few years ago- nice hotel and friendly host... food was arranged in house, there were few restaurants nearby as well. No views from the room window but Ross island (now Netaji subash chandra bose island) is visible from Balcony Cellular jail, port blair jetty etc are within walkable distance.
