Megapode Resort

Lovely place. Very good value for money. The deluxe cottage where we stayed was sea facing. It was an absolute paradise. Very meditative with the sea, sun view, birds, open lawns. We could see sunrisw from the balcony Service was pretty good too. Buffet spread was decent. Kudos to the andaman government for maintaining this so well.

Last week we stayed there.It was love at first sight. We booked sea facing cottage.Interior decoration was superb.The views from the room were excellent. The only negative thing, as per me is the food quantity compared to the price of the food.They don't provide room service.You have to walk a lot to get to the restaurant and they took the last order at 9:30pm only.So after a hectic day get ready to walk a km to the restaurant for dinner.

Megapode Resort, owned and maintained by a government body, is a delightful place to stay. It offers a variety of accommodations, including cozy huts and comfortable rooms, catering to different preferences. The location is simply breathtaking, with stunning views of the sea and surrounding islands that add to its charm. The resort features a well-maintained bar and a restaurant, making it convenient for guests to enjoy good food and drinks without venturing far. The lawns are an added bonus, providing a serene spot to relax and take in the natural beauty. The only downside I have noticed is the tea, which doesn't quite meet expectations. However, this minor shortcoming hardly detracts from the overall experience. For me, Megapode Resort remains a beautiful and cozy retreat that I always enjoy visiting.

Pros : The location of the place is good Restaurant offers food at reasonable rate. Cons : There is a lot of scope for cleaning in the rooms. The cupboards are all stained When I entered the sink was clogged They use glass bottles and we have to ask for refill which is good environmental practice. However when I asked refill, they provided the refill in a seal broken old plastic bottle. I enquired whose bottle is this to which they did not have answer. Next day I checked cleaning staff collects old plastic bottles in good shape from room while cleaning and don't crush it, so I guess they are using these water bottles to bring you refill water under. Please beware of this. The breakfast has bare minimum options.

Amazing sea view cottages and rooms. The rooms were spacious and u can roam around the entire resort and click amazing pictures with the blue waters just behind the resort. Autos were easily available to the resort from the jetty or airport. Highly recommend resort in port Blair.

It has an open outdoor sitting which is its selling point. The service is a little laid back but the food is better than most of the places. But still the sitting area in the garden makes it an amazing place to go n have some snacks. The soup is good and fish fingers

Resort is perched on top of a hill amongst the overlooking the Haddock bay and jetty. Beautiful views and ambience. Their breakfast buffet starts at 0730h so if you are planning an early morning flight, be forewarned about the below average packed breakfast they give you. Taxis usually take Rs300 to 350 for the airport.

Megapode Resort is probably the Best Resort offered by ANIIDCO. Great Property and Views from rooms are awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The quality of the rooms are great. The restaurant offers great food. Recommended.
