Friendly and quiet resort around 17 kilometres away from Diglipur, 7 kilometres from the jetty and just a 5 minute walk from Kalipur beach. There are hourly busses from and to Diglipur so it's easy to reach. The rooms are simple but comfortable. There's hot water, a fan or AC and a little patio. They also serve very tasty food and across the road is a little shop. The only which I would suggest is mosquito netting in the window frames. Since it gets really warm inside the room and there are too many insects to leave the windows open, mosquito netting would be great.

I stayed 8 days at Saddle Peak View resort, it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean , the place is kept really tidy and it's the most peaceful location. Mr sujit was really nice I had home cooked delicious meals made for me that were really tasty and cheap . He organised a boat to go snorkelling and fishing on the nearby island with an amazing coral reef. It's right next to kalapur beach that's great for swimming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it was a relaxing and fun experience. If you travel to diglipur this is the place to stay I definitely recommend it.

Saddle Peak View Resort - an idyllic place to stay in the countryside. The owner was very helpful with everything. Without a doubt, a hidden gem of Andaman! SPVR is located 500 m from Kalipuri beach near Turtle resort in the Diglipur area. SPVR offers accommodation in tiny cottages with private bathrooms. There are ac and non-ac rooms to choose from. We chose the latter and were satisfied. The owner of the resort offers catering options. We ordered dinner, they served an authentic and very tasty thali. The resort was 2 km from Saddle Peak, making it an ideal place to do an early morning hike. In addition, the owner recommended visiting the nearby deserted Craggy Island, where it was wonderful to snorkel and enjoy the views of Saddle Peak on the bright white sand private beach. We got to the island by fishing boat, which was once again arranged for us by the owner of the resort. We stayed at SPVR for 3 nights in total. As a bonus, the owner allowed us to eat as much mango fruit as we could from the garden.

We stayed in Saddle Peak View Resort for 3 days. I had one of the best experiences of hospitality here. Mr. Sujeet is a wonderful host who goes out of the way to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Me and my husband are vegetarian, the breakfast and dinner served to us was extremely delicious. One of the days we had to leave early in the morning and we knew that it won't be possible to arrange for breakfast that early but Mr. Sujeet got us some packed food that we could take with us. We regret spending just 3 days here - there is so much to see around. We had our return flight from Portblair else we would have definitely extended our stay here. On Mr. Sujeet's suggestion we took a Dungi ride to a nearby island and had a lovely experience of seeing Dolphin and Turtle along with other marine life in the open ocean. Note - Diglipur has lots of places to see around and very few tourists come to this part of Andamans. There is a mud volcano, cave, hiking, lovely beaches and small islands.

Very recently, we stayed here for 2 nights. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this resort. Food is homely and very well prepared. Interaction with the owner (Sujit da) on various travel related matters were quite fascinating. Overall our stay was very pleasant. However, one should plan to stay in Diglipur at least for 3 nights to cover all the interesting places.

The owner is extremely hospitable and has the options of having home cooked meals, since the location is pretty remote, it's better to buy what you want from the market and they will have it made. In addition to the peaceful location there's pristine resort is walkable distance with a restaurant and bar with reasonable prices

Total near by 8.5 km to reach saddle peak top view, without guide it is very difficult, no clear indications or boards, from where the saddle peak entrance starts, due to the reason unable to reach the saddle peak, I am returned from half point, but it is totally forest, so many new birds I have seen, and also beach, very good calm and only birds sounds and sea shore sounds, better go with guide the it is easy to reach saddle peak top point.

Best place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, clean and reasonably priced place to stay in Diglipur. Owner, Mr. Sujit, is nice and helpful.
