Excellent place to have a break on your way to north bengal hills. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Food was too good. Only the rooms need some renovation as the property is old.

The rooms are in a terrible shape. They are downright dirty, unkempt and are crying for basic maintenance. The bedsheets, pillow covers are filthy; the wardrobe has pan-spits on it; the bed is terribly uncomfortable. And the washroom! It has not been cleaned may be in the last entire quarter. WBTDCL has such wonderful arrangements elsewhere. It is baffling why this one is such a disgrace. On my transit from Darjeeling to Kolkata currently and trust me, had I been given an opportunity to shift to a better place even at this hour (it is past 10 PM by my watch); I would have taken it with both hands. A straight thumbs down. Can't wait to get out of this mess!

Rooms once grandly built but neglected and not maintained thereafter. Lucky we got AC and geyser running...

Situated amidst a dense forest, the property is very pleasant. But it is not maintained enough. The plasters are peeling off, and the outside of the property doesn't look welcoming at all. There are lot of insects which doesn't let us go to the balcony. The quality is cooking is extremely low, and the food options are very scarce here. There are a lot of things that I've come to know about this property. First of all, the cleaning guy gets paid only 3k for cleaning the rooms and bathrooms whereas he's just supposed to clean the kitchen. The other staffs are very indifferent and are not always present. I urge the authorities to pay the cleaning guy handsomely and properly for his services. This is very unfair.

Good for stopover and night stay during kolkata to siliguri road trip and vice versa

The rooms need serious paintwork. The fixtures need repair. Ample parking and just opposite the bird sanctuary. You can spot dozens of storks from your balcony

Situated just opposite to the Kulik Bird Sanctuary this is the Government Tourist Lodge. Location is very good and this is large property with plenty of land for car parking. But the property needs immediate renovation.

It's like a motel. Cheap but not good rooms. A bit dirty. People are a bit rude.
