Ganga Kutir

It's ok but not gr8 in terms of the value. Only positive it's pet friendly hence a bit of an advantage for pet parents.

My first impressions were mixed as they wouldn't answer their phone , but responded only through emails. At check-in , the reception was pretty lukewarm as well making me rethink my decision. The property is in need of urgent renovation and even the best rooms and bathrooms are in very poor state (broken, dirty trims/faucets and bath areas with scum. They simply don't have any upkeep at all. I later learnt from the sounds of construction that the property was in-fact going through slow paced repairs. We were however not warned about construction on property while booking. We had kids and the games and activities in the main hotel (Ffort) were also in shambles. |But then came the silver lining in the cloud. The breathtaking views of the Ganges and amazing infinity pool that the kids loved. The restaurant had the most flavorful dishes that we had tasted in a long time. The food and service at the restaurant simply won over our hearts, helping overcome the disappointment with the rooms. Mr Pravat and Mr Ayon with their staff led us into an amazing culinary journey . They were so caring and attentive to the needs of everyone including the seniors in our group. The housekeeping staff Mr Raja tried to help improve our experience by providing regular cleaning and also stopping the construction temporarily during our stay. The hospitality and the people are really amazing and they are the only asset of this place currently. |We will return once they have renovated the entire resort , just to enjoy the hospitality extended by their amazing F&B and housekeeping staff.

We were in Ganga Kutir recently for a staycation and we thoroughly enjoyed being there. Although the trip was short, it was a memorable one as we traveled for the first time with our newborn. As we were traveling with our baby, we were in search of a location that is close to nature and Ganga Kutir fulfills that purpose beautifully. Being close to the river Ganges, you can spend your time just by gazing at the sky, the river, and the nature. Besides, you can also walk around the property to spend quality time amidst the nature. Now let me mention a few things about the property. We stayed in room 41, which is a river view room. The room has an old, majestic look and feel, which we really liked. But the bathroom, especially the entrance door to the bathroom needs some improvement. Service is quite good, in fact it is just one call away. Quality of food in the restaurant is also good. I would say the price of food justifies the quality and quantity. We tried both Indian and continental cuisine there. Overall it was a memorable stay.

Beautiful place along the Ganga river bank, the place is very compact, but the view is worth forgetting any major to do's, the rooms were quite spacious and well maintained, food was superb at Sonartori and so was the complimentary breakfast. All in all a relaxing stay with good weather with your favourite people.

I was there for 1 night with my friends and family . the experience was good and the pools were heated and well maintained the rooms were good but they charge too much for an extra bed ,they did nothing but only wrapped a bedsheet around the sofa,although this was not expected I ignored it because of the welcoming and caring staff and they helped us in many a times only in 1 night's stay . the view was amazing and I hope to go back soon

Is a quiet enclave, away from the maddening crowd . First the road to Raichak is one of the worst highways for people who are not used to WB . Single lane highway passing thru 4/5 crowded city market . So be ready for a rough drive . |There is an alternate route thru Sonarpur which is much better.|Coming to the resort . They have 2 different resorts under one name . Fort Raichak and Ganga kutir . The first one is like a hotel and the 2nd one is a resort .||In Ganga kutir there are 2 categories . Deluxe room next to Ganges and duplex next to a water body called swimming pool. Never ever take these duplexes. Simply horrendous . Unkept , ill maintained rooms sold as ethenic decor .||Deluxe rooms are good . Especially room no 11, 21 and a few more facing the Ganges . Lovely swimming pool , good breakfast spread , overall a pleasant experience .

Our stay at Ganga kutir (Mahawasala, room 43) was peaceful because of the ambience and view. However the room needs maintenance. we were charged approximately 17k for 2 adults and an extra bed was 2.5k with taxes. There was dust and cob webs on the furniture. The extra bed lacked a good mattress and was uncomfortable. Food was ok (we ordered in room for both lunch and dinner), breakfast was average as well.

I would have loved to give a 4 but the conditions of the rooms I choose has actually dampened my mood. Ganga Kutir is one of the 3 properties in Raichak by the Ganges, needless to say the location of the property is 5 / 5. Staffs are courteous and helpful and they will ensure your stay are comfortable 5 / 5 Restaurant food menu is limited and taste is also nothing exceptional 3/5 I selected the Duplex Room (pool view), the very design of the rooms is excellent, but they are not well maintained. At the price point we paid, the quality of the rooms were not even 50% of our expectations. To me 2/5 will be a generous rating. Overall, I found this place to be a One time visit just for the location
