Sagar Raj Resort

My review is not related to my experience of staying but only on the dinning restaurant. They served some delicious items at a reasonable price. The restaurant is big and well decorated, decently clean bathrooms which can be used by walk in guests. There is decent amount of open space, garden and a small pool in front of the property. Additionally they have a Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station by Tata which facilitates CCS-2 DC fast charging.

I recently stayed at Sagar Raj Resort, Purulia, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! This resort offers a perfect blend of aristocracy and luxury at an incredibly affordable price. The rooms are fully furnished with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff truly stands out with their excellent behavior--they are polite, professional, and always eager to assist. What impressed me most was the food quality--absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for money. The serene ambiance and well-maintained surroundings add to the charm of the resort, making it a perfect getaway destination. If you're looking for a luxurious experience without breaking the bank, Sagar Raj Resort is the place to be. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Purulia--you won't be disappointed!

Nice hotel with specious rooms & bathrooms too. The swimming pool is also awesome. The quality of the food is very good. The property has huge open space & garden area

We stayed 1 night at this resort; chose this because of very good feedback from a friend who visited 3 years back. We booked through Makemytrip as we got a better deal compared to the rates we were offered by directly calling the hotel. Costed us below 9K for three rooms for double occupancy. We booked back facing room but thankfully were upgraded on arrival. Breakfast was included. However we had to catch an early morning train, and the restaurant was very helpful to pack us the breakfast - veg sandwich, boiled egg, apples and bananas and halwa. Ample quantity they packed. Location wise it's only 1 kilometer away from the station and it took us 5 minutes to reach the station in the morning. Food was good in the dinner as well. Reasonably priced. Cons: we heard chaos and people cheering and singing late in the night from 3 am and 4 am. We tried to call reception, room service, restaurant - no one picked up. And with a train to catch in the morning, this ruined our much needed sleep. Finally, the people cheering left around 4 am.

Rooms are good. Linens were dirty and of poor quality. Room was dirty.View from the room is a slum where the property is located. Wifi doesn't work. Landline phone doesn't work. Food is ok. Property is nice but swimming pool is nonoperational . No gymnasium. Hospitable staff, however, lacks formal training.

Rooms and service are very good in Sagar Raj Resort. But the restaurant of this resort is not upto the mark including food quality and hospitality.

very good breakfast. Clean room and spacious room and new property. Value for money.

Rooms are not bad, parking area is good,but room service are very poor as per the food price.
