Sonamita Resort

I had a very bad experience in this worst hotel sonamita in mandarmani. Omg!! the dining hall is full of insects and the location given in google map is not the actual location of this place. it is purposely given to confuse visitors and price the rooms extremely high on the pretext that every room is sea facing. but actually the hotel is far from the beach and located in a remote area of mandarmani where there is no street light. so it is not at all safe for family, especially for women and kids. try to avoid this horrible resort in mandarmani. after talking with the locals, got to know that this is the kind of hotel that even theywill not even suggest you to stay over there.

Sonamita a wonderful semi resort with all facilities. Food was very good. Sea Beach is just one minute from the hotel. Staffs are very good, the hotel maintain most of the covid protocol. Our experience is very good, good hotel for family and couples.

2 young managers are appointed to look after. Bt they are busy with their girlfriends, making parties with their own. No need to listen our complaint. It's a bad experience

Very good hotel in this price segment. Staff was really very nice and cooperative.Just 20 meters from sea beach. Sea can be viewed from the balcony. Overall our experience is very good.

This hotel doesn't pay any tax to govt. Firstly, it doesn't have GST number. when we asked for a valid bill, the proprietor threatened us not to mess with him otherwise he will be adding extra amount to our food bill in addition to what we consumed. He calls himself the president of a welfare society, which is totally fake. He couldn't show us any supporting documents when asked. For our fooding and lodging, Amalendu Mandol (the proprietor) without providing valid bills, charged 10% service charge by giving a hand written food bill in a paper like we get in a grocery store. When we asked him to provide atleast the hotel seal/stamp in our bill, he simply signed it, giving the name of his welfare society.

The maintenance of the place is very bad. They should take care of that especially for a sandy, windy place like Mandarmani. The location of the resort is quite far from the beach which is not expected when I saw the address of the place.

One of the worst resort.... Where one will never find a washing basin.... Mr. Amalendu babu is the most culprit of the resort...spoiling the glamour of the hotel(not resort) ...
