The Lovely Room

This house mom & papa & two dogs are so much lovely. That's why the name is The lovely Room:) . They are so kind and friendly, always take care of guests not only for business . I felt they just want to make guests happy and then they also get back happy. The room and washroom are obviously clean, Also their small town is really clean and beautiful. Neighborhoods are vely friendly and helpful. The location seems pretty far from main city but there are useful fast local train and bus which you cannot find in google maps. The local train experience was intersting haha. Good thing is close to the airport. Mom's cook is very clean and delicious.(never stomachache first time in India) Papa also give very tasty tea and toast for breakfast. +My lastday flight time was very late night so they just said to me stay here till flight time with no extra charge. Papa called uber and brought me the pick up location.. For my opinion, sometimes it's bit uncomfortable staying with other family even though they are good people but otherwise we would know well about the real local culture. That's one of the way to enjoy travelling.

I spent an amazing week with the Dattaroy family and was sad to leave.||They all made me feel so welcome and part of the family. I ate so much delicious West Bengali food (including luchi aloo dom) prepared by mother and grandmother, was taken out sightseeing by Dammy and her father to various city sites and they even took me on a family trip down to Digha, on the coast. ||The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, there is plenty of storage space for your things and everything is well laid-out. The provision of a few toiletries was a lovely touch.||Absolutely wonderful experience and I have plans to go back and visit.

Owners are really sweet people, they make great food traditional for this region. We got our room with Air acondition so we could take rest during biggest heat. Very good dogs in the house, cuddly and obeying. If you're looking for very cheap place with home atmosphere near airport this is the place to go. Thank you for nice teas and cookies, "local chicken" was also fun :D if we will get a chance to come by again we will definitely come here.

Very nice place to stay for longer time. Feels like home. House is like described on Booking.com. Food very tasty, home made, properly prepared so no stomach problems. Our hosts were very kind and understanding. They can share great stories from numerous of their visitors of you have plenty of time to listen.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights last week. The house is spotlessly clean and very comfortable.|The family are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food that they cooked for us was surreal. We tried a lot of new things.|It was a fantastic experience which we enjoyed greatly.|The location is three train stops from DumDum Junction station where the metro is then available.

This is really a lovely place to stay; the family are so friendly, and do everything to make you feel welcome. Even if it is not so close to the city centre, the proximity to the airport is very useful, and it's really in a quiet party of town. Can fully recommend everyone to stay here when in Kolkata!

The family treats you as if you were part of the house & among their family members. I felt at home here & so did my family who had never stayed in a homestay before. Mr. & Mrs. Dattaroy are a lovely couple who will go out of their way to organize things for you. The rooms are tastefully decorated & adequately equipped for a homestay. I will definately be there the next time I am in Kolkata.

It's a house. It's not a hotel. Paying guest type. Owners have two dogs. House stinks a bit because of these dogs. Connectivity is impossible. No Ola no Uber will be able to identify this place. It's scary at night. No street lights.
