The Salbari Resort & Restaurant - Scenic but Food Could Be Better Visited Salbari Resort for a weekend getaway and loved the peaceful, nature-filled setting. The property is well-maintained, with clean cottages and a rustic vibe that blends nicely with Jhargram's forested surroundings. The staff was friendly, though service was a bit slow during check-in. The biggest letdown was the food--mediocre taste and limited options, especially for the price. Breakfast was decent, but lunch and dinner lacked flavor and freshness. If you're a foodie, you might want to eat light here or explore nearby local dhabas. Pricing is reasonable for the stay, but the dining experience doesn't justify the cost. The outdoor seating area is lovely, though, perfect for evening chai with a view. Recommendation: Bring some snacks or plan to eat outside if you're particular about food. Also, book a cottage closer to the garden--quieter and more scenic. Overall, a good spot for a quiet retreat, but don't expect great meals. Better suited for nature lovers than culinary enthusiasts!

Wonderful place for weekend gateway amidst lush forests of Sal tree. Peaceful and quite. Very well maintained, clean and the road to the resort is a wonderful ride\drive. Indian cuisine is wonderful. You must try the salpata chicken, lip smacking

I recently visited Salbari Resort, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Nestled in a serene location, the resort boasts stunning natural beauty with lush greenery all around. The ambiance is peaceful, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway.It's an ideal place to unwind and rejuvenate amidst nature

The location and resort premises was pretty awesome ! Neat, clean, well decored and beautifully painted ! At the entrance, theres a open ground for safe parking, the swimming pool was pretty big and theres so much open space & greenery inside the premises itself. We booked delux cottage, which was value for money as they let us stay 3 people without any extra charges <3 ( though it would cost 800 extra if u order a extra bed) 1 star less because the most important aspect was overlooked . INTERNET/WIFI !! For most part of the day, there was no wifi in the rooms, at night they recharged still the connection to router was continously dropping ! It needs to be fixed asap. NOTE: Airtel connection is completely zero, Jio connection is intermittent ! Oh & another important aspect food, I was not completely happy. Day 1 breakfast was bad, day 2 was much better. In evening, salpata burnt chicken is served on special order, but the taste has a lot of room for improvement. In lunch, if u order seperate fish curry , the curry was very limited and no extra was given. On the other hand, a single bowl of dal is hard to be finished by 2 ppl. So my advice would be stick to veg food until they fix things.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Before visiting, I called to confirm if lunch was available, and I was assured it was. Upon arrival, I again confirmed with the staff, and they said yes. However, after waiting for over an hour, they informed us that the rice was not ready, causing the delay. This level of mismanagement is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for timely service or professionalism.

We visited this property on 31st December 2024. First of all would love to mention about Manish, this guy provided amazing service and was the only good part of this trip. We were provided a super pathetic room for 3k just beside the kitchen which looked like a staff quarter and was extremely untidy with no basic amenities. Still we thought to adjust as it was 31st, but after sometime the room started getting covered with ants coming out from the ceiling and started reaching the bed as well. When we asked them to change the room, they provided us with a half done room with wires coming out from all over with no curtains or fan. When asked they covered the windows with paper. Additionally, only selected and basic food items were available. This complete mismanagement spoiled our new year celebration. Later one of the staff told that the room given to us are generally not taken by anyone and sold to us as it was 31st and there was rush. Though the properly looks lovely but I would suggest this should be avoided at all costs no matter what. Attached the photos.

Location is beautiful. Midst of nature. Room is standard. Basic aminities are given in the room. Service is good. Food quality is not bad. I liked it. Various options are available in lunch. But breakfast items are limited. Bcoz the resort is almost at the edge of the village. So you can not have so many options like star hotels of cities. Staff are good. Overall Very peaceful ambience....

We are a couple from Jhargram and had called Shalbari Resort in advance to confirm if they could serve lunch. They assured us they could. We arrived around 2 PM and placed our order, but ended up waiting 30-40 minutes. After asking about the food twice, we were told to wait. On the third inquiry, they informed us that the rice was finished, and we would need to wait even longer, despite the fact that they were actively serving a larger group. This experience was extremely disappointing and reflects a poor attitude toward customers. We do not recommend this place for dining; it seems they prioritize only their staying guests.
