Excellent place to stay in the midst of North Kolkata, Near Bidhan Sarani, Hati Bagan. One can stay and enjoy Kolkata from close. Homely atmosphere, food is good. Students who come fir exam purposes can stay out here.

The online tariff is 940 but physically it is 1200 or what comes from mouth, they say we dont believe the online rent.

Avoid booking this hotel if you're a student simply because it's the closest option to your exam center. I made that mistake and regretted it. While the staff was polite, the manager was incredibly discourteous and had no idea how to deal with customers. The rooms were below average, and the biggest issue was that the bathrooms were not attached to the rooms--they were located outside. I've stayed in many hotels, but I've never been charged a full day's rate for just being an hour late for check-out. The food, however, was quite good and had a homemade feel to it. Here are the prices: Fish meal: 120 Chicken meal: 120/130 Veg meal: 75 Despite this, they don't provide a bill for the meals, and card payments are not accepted--likely for reasons that are obvious (everything feels shady). Book this hotel at your own risk.

Never go to a bad place. The behavior of the staff is very bad. There is an elderly man who is so frustrated in his life that he can't talk to anyone properly. Talks bad to girls too. Bad service. No online payment. If you haven't paid yet, you might think you won't stay. Just can't come. 100 should be paid. Soo bad

I stayed there for a night when i went to attend an exam. Rooms don't justify there price. Though there conduct is good but there stuffs are not that good or efficient. In the morning they delivered me luchi in breakfast when i ordered bread toast. So ya if you are a person who wants satisfaction then this is not for you.

There was no hassle while checking in. The hotel staff were extremely polite and cooperative with everything. Now coming to the rooms, the entire building was recently painted and the rooms were very clean. The location for this guest house is amazing with Hati Bagan Bazar and Shovabazar metro station in walking distance. I had an early check-in and had to leave in the evening but overall it was a wonderful experience. I'd definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay here very much. Shower was hot, wifi was great. There doesn't seem to be many hotels around this area, and this one met my needs and was not too expensive. Close to Kumartuli, which was great to see the idols being made for Durga Puja. Breakfast was a bit basic (toast and banana).
