Hotel Sandstone International

Staff very rude and misbehaved with me and my wife . The surrounding area is filthy and proximity to Sealdah rly stn is the only positive. Bathroom was filthy and the toilet seat not cleaned atleast for a year.When we checked in the bell boys doubled as counter clerks/ managers and insinuate that myself (67 yrs) and my wife were not married couple! Overall very very bad experience.

The hotel is situated at a very very busy area. Too tough to reach thereat. It is the only easy way to reach the Hotel by foot from Sealdah Railway station, but it is not easy if luggage is with you. I booked AC room in hotel from 22 Dec 24 to 23 Dec 24 for me along with my wife but I have very bad experience. First, AC was installed but the switch of the AC was broken therefore, it was, non-AC room provided. Further, I requested to attending staff to provide the drinking water bottle but he given only one bottle of 1 liter. After that I asked 7-8 times to provide one more bottle of 1 liter as we were TWO occupants but late at night, they gave me a local brand water bottle. Further, I called reception at 6.30 AM for hot water, but nobody attended the call. When I discussed it at reception at 11 AM approx. then it is explained that service is not available at this time.

It is near sealdah railway station one can come by walking .very busy area vegetable mandi, fishmarket is available here .In road some foul smell is coming not in hotel.Over loaded truck you can find here.

Nice casual hotel room. Pros - 1. Walking distance from sealdah railway station. 8 min walk. 2. Nice clean rooms. 3. Polite and helpful staff. Cons - 1. Near by vegetable and fish market therefore you must be prepared for foul smell on the road. (not in the hotel) 2. No food service in the hotel.

Manager behaviour was not good and supportive, rooms were not cleaned, Locality of hotel is not good, it's in vegetable Mandi and fish market where some sort of smell comes around. some time cabs will not come as it's a very rushy area. Not value for money.

Ok for Solo travellers Standard Ac room are Small in size but kept neat & clean don't serve mineral water in complimentary it is situated under a very busy market locality(fish/fruits /vegetables/Grocery) No inhouse food services only tea & mineral water you can order your food via food delivery partners or hotels/street food are in walkable distances..

Good option for casual stays..near to sealdah and cost is also at par with other hotels. Washroom and linens were good and clean. Though my booking was online, offline may give you better price through bargain, although not sure about that part.

Good compact hotel. Rooms are okay but i have found cockroaches roaming around. No gayser was working in my room 101 Since market area getting cab and in /out of the area is slightly difficult. No restaurent. Near to sealdah railway station and from airport around 15 kms
