OYO Flagship 5930 Dum Dum

Stayed with spouse for a night, the hotel is situated at a busy neighborhood, adjacent to Dumdum Central Jail, at Dumdum Cantonment. Not far-off from airport but far-off from Howrah Station, radio cabs are frequently available. It is on the 3rd floor of a building, where first 2 floors are occupied for other commercial purpose, one common lift is available for transfer to hotel. They have around 13 rooms, the room & washroom were spacious and clean, my room had a nice view of adjacent lake. The room was fitted with AC, TV & Geyser, though Geyser didn't work during morning shower time. The linen was reasonably clean too, however bed / mattress was hard & not very comfortable. Towel, hand towel & small Soap & Shampoo sachet etc. were also provided. Complimentary breakfast had limited options like Aloo Paratha, Bread Omlet & Tea, which was served in room. They do serve in-room food, not tried hence can't comment. The staff were courteous & helpful. Noticed guests smoking in the small reception area, which could be avoided. The rate of the hotel varies significantly based on demand. Booked the hotel during a marriage season due its proximity to marriage hall at comparatively higher rate. Overall it was a satisfactory stay.

Behavior of the staffs were really good but the property is not up to the mark. It features all kind of amenities but the building is too old to be a modern day hotel and requires a renovation. They have tried enough to keep the premises clean but it still looks untidy. The location is also not good. Giving four star just because of the good gesture shown by all the hotel employees.

For the price this is not worth it. For a 2* hotel this is decent. I booked this looking at the rating and forgot to see the star category. As u can see the walls are stained the place even stinks a bit. The enterence is not apparent. It's hidden in a corner. Even the towels were dirty. The bathroom floor looks bad. For me 2* means low end furnishings and NOT unclean/not well maintained rooms. The saving grace the bed was clean. For the price this is not worth it.

They don't provide you drinking water.first i paid for water than they brought from local shop. Bathroom mug and balti is dirty and rusted. Filthy room. Only bed was good. Breakfast was pathetic. Not recommended for anyone. This is not a hotel standard and if they are running as a hotel than the amount should not be above 300 as per Kolkata standard. Pathetic not recomendable. Sorry for bad rating but actually not deserve

Stayed here for 1 night as had a early morning flight from CCU. Best budget rooms available here with AC and free breakfast. Rooms were spacious and clean. Food was ok. |Bathroom had 24 hour hot water supply.|Hotel staff helped me with lot with my required information. But the hotel is a little bit inside from the main road and main area. It took almost 10 min to reach Airport from the hotel in the morning.

Hotel is a bit old. Rooms are not properly clean but given the price point, overall it is good value for money if you are looking for cheap options. All the electronic items were working properly. The hotel is a bit difficult to find as OYO has mentioned wrong address. It is nearby to the mentioned address. Location is good as it faces a lake. Service is OK.

Not a great choice though food is good and location is central. Rework is required for the washroom especially. Linen needs to be bought as it doesn't look clean anymore. Fine for single night stay. Overall it was a fine experience.

Cultured staff. Clean rooms. Food ordering options available till 11pm. Free and strong WiFi connectivity for each room. Staff will help you out with cabs if your mobile netwrk gets down and you can't book an Uber ride. Close to airport, but may take time to reach the destination due to Kolkata road traffic.
