A step back in time in this lovely, period, heritage property. I love these types of hotels in India...a little bit worn at the edges but made up for in style and atmosphere.|The edwardian style is delivered through period style furnishing and staff service. |The large lounge/bar area is very comfortable, and the service friendly and attentive.|The veranda area offers lovely views and a calming area for a coffee/tea. |The dining room is very grand, reminiscent of a bygone era. Lots of silver and wood...crockery stamped with the Elgin brand - all very nice.|The food was fine but not the best. The hotel was quiet and I think perhaps we suffered a little for this. One of our dishes on the .first night had undercooked chicken. The second night was 'tasting menu' style...lots of dishes served at table. Mostly very tasty! Just served too quickly. Relax a little. |Breakfasts were ok too. Just more fruit options needed.|The bedroom we had, had a great view. It was a deluxe, and whilst not huge it was big and very comfortable for us. The bathroom was clean and functional, as it should be. Towels could perhaps have been better. Robes were provided. Good. Toiletries were good quality.|The bed was a little hard but that is standard here I think. Whilst no aircon, it wasn't needed on our visit. |The staff were lovely. Lots of friendly smiles. Helpful and efficient.|Overall, worth a visit.

This hotel has a good location overlooking the mountains. It also has an adequate carpark. Though small ( 30+ odd rooms) it is very nice. The rooms overlook the mountains and they have good areas to observe the sunrise as well. There is also a large sitting place at the bar area with comfortable seating. Their dinner and breakfast was served to us very elegantly by their happy and positive service staff. Unfortunately we only stayed here for one night. Its location along a Main Street meant that we could walk to the nearby shops easily though the walking path is not very suitable for the frail and elderly as it goes down and uphill and not wheel chair friendly.
We had a 2 nights stay over there in April, and it was a memorable experience for us. Room, staff behaviour, service, cleanliness and everything were amazing. Only one suggestion, they can improve the taste of the food.
I couldn't come for a night at the hotel, because the flight got rescheduled to 7:30 pm so I stayed back at bagdora with my uncle, so the next day when I arrived at hotel and requested for one extra room as complimentary but I was denied right away even though the whole hotel was empty.. very bad experience and the toilet was very unhinged. I would recommend a better hotel than staying here..
Fantastic experience , very quaint n cosy. Food is good. Breakfast service is very personal and Milan even sang a song for us. Anjali , Abhijeet ,Milan , everyone here is so good and service is always with a smile. Reception desk very attentive and cooperative. Check in was fast n convenient. Pampered myself to a hair wash and blow dry at the spa, Ms Roshni was very gentle n skillful. Highly recommend
We were in this absolutely wonderful property for the New Years...the place is ideal for enjoying the tranquil nature with its well appointed rooms and ever caring support staff. However this New year eve the property had rowdy guests infact they spoiled the tranquil nature by their behaviour and mass mentality..we felt it was the job of the management to manage such guests, they made sure that the New Year eve party was a disaster and no one from the management even once told them these rowdy middle aged guests to behave, and not to disturb others by their foolish behaviour. Never could imagine that an event could be so poorly managed..hope someone from the Kolkata management is reading this massive.||When these guests left all things were back to normal..wish these guys weren't there during our stay..
Great place to spend some time in Kalimpong. The rooms are great and have a vintage vibe to it. However, there is no Kanchenjunga views from any of the rooms. So bear that in mind before going. The service is really good and the continental cuisine is to die for. Highly recommend going here once in Kalimpong.
Great location, vintage look with modern touch every where , staff are very friendly and helpful, beautiful colours of interiors . One of best place to stay there amidst total peace.
