Summit Barsana Resort & Spa, Kalimpong

We stayed at Summit Barsana in Kalimpong for 2 nights. The room was decent with lovely views of the surrounding hills, but do note there's no escalator, which might be a bit inconvenient for some guests.||The staff were warm and very baby-friendly--they even offered complimentary food for our baby, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was celebrating our daughter's birthday at the hotel. The team was kind enough to help decorate an area for the cake cutting, which was thoughtful.||However, we were quite surprised to be charged 3000 for a very simple decoration. It felt quite steep, especially since most hotels usually offer such gestures complimentary or at a much more reasonable cost. That part left us a bit disappointed and took away from an otherwise nice experience.||Overall, a decent stay in a beautiful location, but the overcharge for the birthday setup was a letdown.

The staff was courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile, making our experience truly special. The manager was exceptionally professional and friendly, ensuring that every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of. It was refreshing to see such hands-on leadership that enhanced the overall experience. The property itself is a paradise! Nestled amidst lush greenery, the serene atmosphere and well-maintained gardens provided a perfect escape from the hustle of daily life. The rooms were cozy, well-appointed, and offered beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Dining at the resort was a delight, with delicious meals that catered to different tastes. The peaceful ambiance, combined with top-notch services, made our stay incredibly enjoyable. If you're looking for a memorable stay in Kalimpong, Summit Barsana Resort is the place to be. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to visit again!

Excellent hotel with sufficient parking space, spacious rooms, beautiful view of Kalimpong town and Kanchenjunga peak from room balcony, sumptuous and wife spread of food for breakfast and dinner, and a big lawn with indoor games, children play area and very tasteful landscaping and furnishings. They are very particular in providing great service for the guests and I really enjoyed the care and concern extended by all the employees, whether it's front desk or restaurant. It's also excellent value for money. They don't charge extra for kids under age of 10 and I paid only 4500 for 1 night including breakfast and dinner which I felt was amazing. Excellent choice for anyone looking for a good resort in Kalimpong. You cant go wrong with this one....they have another resort in Delo called Summit Sherpa...while that is at higher altitude this is much better in terms of decor, facilities etc. and if you want to be closer to town and do some river rafting on Teesta river (which I highly recommend)

We had booked a family room for 3 nights in Kalimpong. I had senior citizens traveling with me & they felt extremely comfortable with the stay and hospitality at Summit Barsana. The restaurant serves delicious food with buffet facilities available also. The reception in charge, Priti was courteous and helpful. They have one of the best view points from the hotel and we were lucky to get a glimpse of Kanchenjunga also. We enjoyed every bit of our stay & would love to come back again.

Outstanding place with great view! The entire feel right from entering the property to leaving it the experience was outstanding! Food was amazing to our taste! I am definitely coming back to this amazing place in near future.. great place for family with kids..

We stayed at Summit Barsana Resort & Spa, Kalimpong, for five days during December 2024. It was an extremely pleasant experience for the six of us. The hotel was well-equipped with modern amenities. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely courteous and always ready to help with a smile. The restaurant served good food with excellent support staff. The property itself had excellent open space with well-maintained lawns, gardens full of flowers and play-zones for kids. The glorious mountains added to the atmosphere immensely.|The approach road to the hotel is, unfortunately, quite steep and initially this can be bothersome. We came to know that an improved road is already sanctioned and will be built soon enough.

Beautiful view of Kanchenjunga. They have game rooms, kids play area, and a nice lawn. Breakfast is good. Staff are helpful. This property does not have lifts, but they have porter service to carry your luggage. But if you have senior folks with you, request for rooms in ground floor.

Probably the best serviced hotel we ever stayed. Food was delicious, wholesome and huge in quantity. We booked on AP plan. Worth the money. Their staff behaviour is extremely polite, gentle and kind. Punctuality is high on top. Try to get rooms in the new block, view is better from there. Overall experience is 'visit once again'.
