The Golden Retreat

I have been a loyal customer of your hotel for many years, visiting countless times for both work and family outings. It is with disappointment that I must express my concerns about the noticeable decline in standards. Despite the high rates I pay for my stays, I find that the service has not been up to par. Specifically, the behaviour of the restaurant staff during breakfast has been unacceptable. When requesting room service for just one person, the staff have been unprofessional and uncooperative. This is not the level of service I expect from your establishment. I understand that you mentioned you couldn't serve so many items in the room, and we accommodated that by letting you know that three of us would be coming down for breakfast. However, it was disappointing to see that only one item was sent to one person in the room. Given the amount we paid, I believe we deserve better service from the staff.

The room has an old-style charm, but unfortunately, the hotel and rooms are not being maintained properly. With better upkeep, this property has the potential to become a true heritage hotel. I have stayed at Trident Heritage, and I believe this hotel could compete with them if they focused on maintenance and care. On a positive note, the staff is good and attentive." On entry its look expensive but the experience make a good match with room charge. Aside this is only the single hotel with good hygiene and pleasant stay.

Stayed two nights. Golden retreat hotel in Haldia is a highly priced hotel in a small town. It has basic amenities with a large greenery area inside the hotel campus which is good for nature lovers. Room sizes are large with a balcony but an old construction and lack of some hygiene. Breakfast was good with healthy items. Food prices are sky high which is more than a 5 star hotel.

Complementary Breakfast is not upto the mark as compared to the price taken for room and as compared to 3 star property. Even the price of food are overcharged and quality is not upto the mark as per 3 star property. Even in lots of room old tv are there, as a customer I should get the same service and facilities in every room. As I am regular customer still facing the problem. Your Hotel rate are also increasing day by day and we are not getting service upto the mark.

I stayed for a week, the property is a bit old, need some attention. Room are spacious but don't have refrigerator. Room service is good, items on menu is a bit costly, but the quantity is good... Breakfast has limited options, but this is the best available option in Haldia...

Surrounding atmosphere is very nice with lush green.Good place to relax .Big swimming pool,Gym and Garden ,Property looks older . Specially bath rooms and sofas required upgradation and some cosmetic upgradation . The prices are on higher side compare to room standard and food. Staff are very nice.

My observation after staying 2 nights is like Old Property is partially renovated to meet modern needs or expectations.. ONLY luxurious hotel with vast space & staff members in Haldia. Near to Mall.. I feel lot of renovation in rooms & overall premise is required... Management or Owner should try & improve interior & exterior of all rooms & outside portion.... Rooms have old style or heritage type furniture having smell like wet wooden .. Overall lighting of the room is very low and someone may feel like horrible in the night... Cleaning is poor as I noticed used water bottle & beer bottle as same place in 2 days of stay... Swiming Pool is available but I didn't use it ...Good and enough sitting & parking area is available within premise... Easy to reach...All staff members were nice, humble, professional & supportive... Can't open the balcony door due to mosquitoes... Rates of food & beverages are drastically & dramatically high.. Maida (Refined Wheat Flour) was used to make Tawa Roti @ 60/- per piece !!! Dal Khichdi was good & tasty... JAIN food is available... Better to book room with breakfast option. All food & beverage in breakfast was good & fresh..

I recently stayed at your property, and I feel compelled to share my experience, as it was far below expectations. 1. Room Ambiance: * The room felt like a neglected, old property--more like a haunted house than a hotel. * For a place that markets itself as 3-star, the ambiance didn't even match a 1-star standard. 2. Food Quality and Pricing: * The food was average at best, yet priced exorbitantly. For example, charging Rs. 200 for a single omelet seems highly unreasonable and unjustified. 3. Washroom Conditions: * The washroom was extremely outdated, appearing as though it hadn't been renovated in over 20 years. The condition discouraged me from even taking a shower. 4. Bed Comfort: * The bed quality was subpar, reminiscent of sleeping on a roadside dhaba bed. Overall, my stay was disappointing and did not align with the expectations set by your star rating or price range.
