Nayalap - Rural Himalayan Glamping

When I heard of Nayalap, the catchword for me was 'Earth Homes', resplendent with all the facilities a city dweller takes for granted. Uttarakhand pulled four of us to this unique cottage, simply and artistically crafted with a woman's eye for placement and beauty and a man's pragmatic touch. Bamboo shades, mud walls, reed floors blended seamlessly with electric blankets and pristine linen. Hand hewn furniture caught the eye.The rough and the smooth were interwoven without disturbing the organic surroundings. An hour or two away from Ranikhet, Binsar and Almora , Nayalap was the perfect home away from home. The Himalayan range smiled at us as we sat down for morning breakfast.Tanuja and Anindo run this property with deep love and abiding passion. The charming and gracious staff enriched our taste buds with the choicest local cuisine made at our request. When I say, we couldn't have asked for more, I speak for my husband, Rajesh, and our very dear friends, Vinny and Amit. The place is really amazing. Everything: the location, landscape, cleanness, super comfortable bed, and the food, so yummy. I had the best experience. I definitely recommend it. The staff is also very helpful and kind. We even did a trekking visit to a temple.

The place is beautiful with an amazing view over the mountains. The food is very good. We had been to the tents already, and the confort and service are as great in both places. The houses have a big and cosy living room, as well as the room. The cleanliness is impeccable

Spent the new year at their earth homes. The room was extremely cosy with tasteful decor and view of the snow capped mountains from the windows! Its isolated with small hiking trails nearby. The best lart though was the fresh-produce food made by the local cook. The hosts were very helpful and made sure we had a perfect new year's eve. Have already recommended this to all my mountain crazy friends.

The word is "Delight"! that is the feeling me and my wife have shared. we have been visiting Nayalap : glamping tents very often and loved the place, the views of the dauladhar range and simple home cooked food is worth it! But with these new cottages, its a whole new experience. This Locations in village of Dhamus offers spectacular view of Mt. Trishul & Mt. Nanda Devi! The cottages are so earthy and comfy, great washrooms, modern amenities like microwave and heaters, and the attention to detail is beautiful! You can even sit out on your own deck or outside on lawn and have food watching the hills. Staff there won our hearts with their authentic smiles and great service. Food is homely and great tasting which works for us, not oily like restaurant food. The hosts will help you plan lovely village walks, riverside lunches and hikes. We had one of our best tasting tea at a small shop nearby on a walk. The location is secluded free from car noises, thereby allowing one to just unwind, soak in the clean air and ground in nature! The Drive to this place for us, from gurgaon has been a joy as we stop at iheart cafe for lunch and dinner at nayalap. |its also pet friendly and we did bring our pet once and what a blast she had! |For us to unwind and relax from busy citylife, the experience at Nayalap has consistently met our expectations! Our stay at Nayalap Glamping was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the thoughtfully designed spaces, the breathtaking views, and the sheer tranquility of the place. The food was absolutely out of this world--serving such delicious and well-prepared meals at this altitude, in such a remote location, is a testament to the dedication and hospitality of the team. A special shoutout to Chandan and Prem, who were always on their toes to cater to our smallest needs. Their warmth and attentiveness made our experience even more special. A huge thank you to Tanuja, the wonderful owner, who personally took us on a forest trail and a sunset hike. The entire experience--walking through the serene wilderness, engaging in enriching conversations, and soaking in the mesmerizing views--was truly unforgettable. Nayalap offers a wholesome and soul-nourishing experience, one that stays with you long after you leave. If you're visiting Kainchi Dham and have even a day to spare, do yourself a favor and come here. You will not be disappointed! Highly recommended for those seeking peace, adventure, and unmatched hospitality in the lap of nature.

So, I'm usually not the biggest fan of camping, just the way I am but I really wanted to experience a few things with my furbaby, so we went for luxury camping (aka glamping). And honestly, it wasn't bad at all! The setup was really comfortable, and it gave me a taste of the outdoors without sacrificing too much on comfort. I mean, having a cozy bed, clean bathroom, and all those amenities in the middle of nature was a pleasant surprise. But what really stood out for me was the food! The Indian/local dishes they served were absolutely delicious, and it made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. There's something about enjoying a hearty, flavorful meal under the open sky that just hits different. While I'm still not the biggest fan of camping, this glamping trip was a pretty decent experience, especially with my fur baby by my side. If you're like me and not into roughing it, but still want to dip your toes into nature, glamping is definitely worth a try!
