Seegreen Birding Lodge

I recently stayed at Seegreen Birding Lodge in Khanij Nagar, Dehradun. The lodge's location amidst nature is truly a highlight, offering a serene and peaceful environment for birdwatching enthusiasts like me. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The amenities were basic, and the dining options were limited. Additionally, the lodge's maintenance could use some attention as certain areas appeared a bit rundown. Overall, while it's a decent choice for nature lovers, there's room for enhancement to make the stay even more enjoyable.

Recommended :||-Stay at the log hut is highly recommended. The view from there is breathtaking. ||-Eat the local delicious organic food at the cafe . Grown locally by the cafe staff and served with so much of love. Do not miss their pizzas !||||Enjoyed the lovely weather...also this cafe is away from the crowd and noise. It was so refreshing.||||Beautiful red rhododendrons flowering trees will welcome you all around. Had the most yummy chutney and juice made of these flowers.||||Will surely visit again soon.

We stayed at Seegreen lodges from 28 th of March until 30 of March. We were in a group of 6 adults and 2 kids. |The place has a very positive energy and gorgeous views.|We had booked three rooms and one log hut. The rooms were clean and cozy And the log hut was like a small Swiss chalet complete with an attic . The log hut had the most amazing views of the mountains. The log hut can accommodate a family of 4 easily. |Seegreen lodges has a namesake cake which serves the best pizzas in Mussoorie.|The first night we stayed there Vicky and Amisha ( the owners ) had arranged for a barbecue . The food was ( both veg and non veg) delicious.|The paranthas that they serve for breakfast are something I would really go back for . The Rhododendron sharbat and the chutney they served was a very personal touch and was out of this world . |All in all I would definitely want to visit this place again in winter as the pictures we saw were surreal.|Hoping to go back this winter .

We reviewed this place in 2016 after staying there in winter 15. The place is largely unchanged but maintained well. Clean and spare. Excellent and knowledgable staff who absolutely do not hover but available when needed. The pahadi dinners we had were excellent as was the pahadi tea. Breakfast was included and substantial. In fact all food portions are quite big.||||Walls are paper thin so plan to speak softly, which anyway is a good idea. ||||Weekdays are quiet and uncrowded. I reccommend visiting on weekdays to avoid the weekend crowd downstairs in the cafe. Alternately do like we did and just leave on a day long trek to get away from the crowd. The restaurant downstairs may not be safest place in covid times, however cold and sunny outdoor seating is available.

After being on the road for nearly 3 months in North east India, we were looking for a quiet, peaceful and beautiful place to unwind for a couple of days before we began our journey to Ladakh. Seegreen Lodges was just what we needed. The place is surrounded by trees and mountains on all sides and one can see and hear birds and other animals going about their day, oblivious to our presence. The room was clean and comfortable with a spectacular view. The best part was talking to Sanjeev over delicious cuisine in the cafe downstairs. The variety of cuisine is vast and ranges from chocolate chip cookies to Mussoorie delicacies. There are amazing places to check out nearby. We liked that the place is close enough to the town but is not in the crowded part of Mussoorie so one can hear birds chirping over cars honking :) We did have a little confusion with the location on Google maps so I would highly recommend calling ahead and ensuring the route you plan on taking is accurate. Sanjeev is very helpful and will provide quick and clear instructions. The staff is friendly and helpful. Seegreen has been added to our list of favourite places to visit and we can't wait to visit again. Thank you, Sanjeev and team for the amazing stay.

The property that provides a homely ambiance along with good food, clean rooms, hot water and a breathtaking view of the mountains where, on a clear day you will be able to see the Himalayas!! What hasn't been mentioned anywhere is the stellar view of the night sky one can enjoy from a small deck they have on the 1st floor. You can even count the stars on a clear night!!! And I am sure to share some of the picturesque snaps that I took of the place. George Everest house is a two km hike from Seegreen and you even get to head to on of the most haunted places in Asia - Lambi Dehar Mines where 50,000 labourers had died a painful death and you can still hear their screams in the night! If you are into birding, Benof Bird Santuary is around five km from the property. You can hire a bike for INR 800 and head there.||P.S. - The Seegreen Cafe serves the best pizza in the whole of Mussoorie! And I drolled over their pakoras and chilly cheese toast too. But do bear in mind, this is a slow cafe. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ambiance while you wait for the delectable eatables.

I had stayed at the Log Hut, which is a literal log hut on a hilltop, with all amenities one could ask for. Exceptionally clean despite being surrounded by vegetation. You wake up to a sunrise over the hills and to the sounds of the forest. Pure bliss. Located very close to George Everest. The staff is super nice and helpful.

What a great place to stay. The view and atmosphere is so peaceful. The staff and people are so humble and helpful. The place is built keeping in mind all the requirements and comfort of guests. They are environment friendly and that's the best part. It was an awesome trip and this place made it so much better and relaxing. A must visit!!
