Amatra by the Ganges

Good spread out property, located on the banks of Ganga ji. One visiting Haridwar can opt for this hotel provided they have their own car or with a driver, as it's about 20min away from Har ki paudi. They have amenities, making it ideal for families and small leisure groups. |We had lunch (paneer and lacchha paratha), dinner (spaghetti in creamy sauce) and next day breakfast. Food was good. Bf options were limited but enough to fill your tummy. Surprisingly their dosa was nice. I think apart from their built - their people are the reason one can feel happy and comfortable. They are responsive, courteous and simple. There is some scope to improve , and they were very prompt to take that feedback. |The chef who prepared dosa, the restaurant service team and front office staff - thanks for a good stay.

Everything was really good. The rooms could have been better with regards to AC placement. The garden loft room was so big that it took a long time for the AC to have any effect. Also, the head shower was kind of wonky. The welcoming nature and hospitality of the staff made the stay really awesome. Food was another highlight of our stay. We decided to not eat anywhere else once we had lunch at the Basil restaurant.

We recently visited Amatra Resort with family and friends to celebrate Holi, and it was an amazing experience! The resort is beautifully situated near the banks of the Ganga, offering a peaceful and scenic ambiance. The Holi program was fantastic, especially the rain dance, which added to the festive vibes. The Ganga Aarti in the evening was a soulful experience, making our stay even more special. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety to satisfy everyone. The staff was professional, helpful, and courteous, ensuring a comfortable stay. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the best part--it's family-friendly with villas set you with each room in villa having either a private balcony or private garden and a common hall inside the villa. The only drawback was the water issue during power cuts--although they have a generator backup, the water supply in the washrooms temporarily stops but resumes shortly. Overall, I'd rate it 9/10 (one mark down due to the water issue). Other than that, everything was exceptional--no complaints! Highly recommend for a peaceful and enjoyable stay by the Ganga.

A great place if you want to stay away from the city of Haridwar. Easy access to the Haridwar ghats and also the Rajaji National park. You could catch glimpses of leopards, hyaenas, elephants, sambhar, cheetal and innumerable birds.|The resort itself is very comfortable. Service is exceptionally good. Special mention of the housekeeping staff and the staff at the restaurant : Shivangi, Rajesh, Pankaj, Manish, Vishal and Neel Kamal. Always smiling and ready to serve. Must mention the Chef at the Live counter for breakfast : makes very good omlettes and dosas !|Check in and Check out were a breeze !|Will be back in winter

If you are visiting Haridwar and want to stay away from the main city, Amatra on the Ganges is a good place to stay. The approach through a village may make you wary, but once inside you are greeted by warm and responsive staff at every place - reception, housekeeping and most of all the restaurant. Must particularly mention Shivangi at the restaurant who was outstanding in her service. Always smiling and active despite the long hours. Rajesh, Pankaj were some of the others. |The rooms at the resort were clean, comfortable and with all amenities and a well fitted ensuite bath. |The resort has a large green area leading to the banks of The Ganga. Not much water in the river at this time though. |The resort is next to the Rajaji National Park and convenient if you want to do a safari - which we did.

The location was peaceful and the grounds are clean and well kept. The restaurant serves delicious food with a great variety and the staff were friendly and helpful, always kind and happy to assist. The only suggestion I'd have for improvement would be that the cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved, and the floor of the room. Overall happy with my stay.

One of the most gorgeous resorts by the Ganges, Amatra by the Ganges is a must visit for a relaxing getaway! The villas are beautiful, some overlooking the Holy Ganges too. The rooms are super spacious, with beautiful and aesthetic decor around. The lawns are a huge plus if you're traveling with kids. They have a pool, gaming zone and a kids play zone as well besides other activities such as pool, archery, badminton, cricket and mini golf zones. They have high tea and Ganga Aarti at sunset by the Ganges and that's a definite must attend. Food, staff and service are absolutely impeccable. Their General Manager Mr. Sandeep Singh, along with staff members Nikhil, Sanjay, Rajesh and Shivangi ensured we had one of the best stays ever. Definitely recommended for a long weekend and longer stays.

Nice and comfortable stay. Good option for families with kids because of the large playground. Warm atmosphere and homelike food. Being on the banks of the Ganges, it offers great views. Hotel is mostly flat so a good choice for elderly as well as physically disabled
