The location of the hotel is very good. Located in Gumkhal 12 kms from lansdowne. Over all its a very quiet place. The rooms are spacious and the common balcony offer amazing views of the valley. The rooms amenities are very basic and overall cleanliness is very good. The hotel staff is very helpful. Food is tasty and everytime they cook fresh food on order basis. You can also request them to cook any of your fav dish on demand. they also arrange for bonfire. If you are looking to stay at a budget place with decent amenities and cleanliness away from the crowds of hte maintown (and with amazing views) then this is d rigth place. DOnot miss Tarakeshwar Mahadevtemple (50 kms from this hotel) and Bhairav Garhi (6kms) when you are in Gumkhal or Lansdowne.

On our way to Lansdowne, at the last moment we changed our plan and made an unscheduled stop at GUMKHAL. A small hamlet with lush green and dense forest. A small market full of local produce. Overall a very quite place. ||||We stayed at Hotel SADVABNA very near to market. Rooms are spacious, clean with all basic amenities. From common balcony fantastic view of valley. Particularly sunset is mesmerizing. ||||Hotel staffs are all helpful. Food is excellent and always served fresh and hot. A pleasant memory indeed.

This hotel is right next to the Gumkhal market in Uttarakhand. We had to make an unscheduled stop overnight due to torrential rains and this hotel is the most accessible in the area. The rooms are strictly functional but the valley view is beautiful and you can get mesmerized by the clouds floating by. The food and service are better than average.

One of the few budget accommodations available in the Lansdowne area, and probably the better one among those. It is located 12 kms away from main Lansdowne, in the village of Gumkhaal. There are two categories of available rooms, with the superior category rooms being 4 in number and on the 2nd floor, which is the top floor of the property. The superior rooms are about 64 sq ft, and open into a deck which provides an unhindered view of the valley, the hills and the forests. The attached toilets are clean. The cable tv has all the popular english channels. Food served is decent. The young boy who manages the place is quick and courteous.

Well, this is located on a very awesome place,very quite, calm, full of awesome views. I had very awesome time spending in here, saw sun set after a long time and enjoyed it. Rooms are good and quite good for 3 people. Go for the top floors and enjoy cold breeze of wind. You don't need fan. This is great place for couple and groups of friend , they can spend some quality time in here. It is around 13 km ahead of lansdwone and the way towards lansdwone from this hotel is also good. Rates of rooms are also very good. better to call directly for some nice price. Ashish is the contact person in here.

One of the best place to stay, Rooms are spacious and clean with proper water and electricity supply. Good and spacious balcony with attractive scenic beauty. Food is delicious, availability of veg as well as non veg. Also, a very good and prompt service and hospitality. Staff is cooperative and friendly. PS: 8 kms from Lansdowne, but an awesome and peaceful place to stay. Conveyance easily available'.

Hi! I went to Lansdowne in June 2017. Being a long weekend, the place was all filled with tourists. So, for all those who are planning a trip to Lansdowne, please don't forget to book a hotel well in advance. We luckily got this hotel despite last minute booking. This hotel provides you the feeling of a home, away from home. We got a family room, with two double beds. PROS: 1. Location: The hotel is in Gumkhal, a place 8 km from main Lansdowne city. Thus provides a peaceful environment, away from the congested city market. 2. Hotel staff: The hotel staff is really good. As the hotel is newly constructed, the boys might not appear very experienced, but they make every effort to learn from your feedbacks and try every bit to make your stay comfortable. 3. Room: As mentioned above, we stayed in a family room. These rooms have a big hall (with two double beds) and a separate dining area. For a family of four people, this feels like a separate apartment. The room (and washroom too) was well maintained. Moreover, its quite affordable. 4. Picturesque surrounding: I have attached an image showing the view from balcony. The actual view is much more attractive. Moreover, there is a roof of an underground room behind the hotel which provides a very good platform for clicking pics. 5. Campfire: The hotel staff organises a campfire on weekends for the guests. Though I could not participate in that, but it is again a part of their hospitality CONS: 1. The place is not for people who are used to stay in 3/5/7 star hotels. You won't find a coffee vending machine in gallery; you won't get continental cuisine etc. It's a simple small place hotel. 2. You have to arrange your own conveyance as hotel won't provide such facility. But the pros clearly outweigh the cons. Overall, I had a fantastic stay. Keep it up boys. This is a nice place to stay. Food was superb and priced reasonably. I would recommend it. Only cons are - little away from Lansdowne (12 km) and the property needs maintainance.
