I stayed at the Himalayan Hobbit House for a night with my family and had a great stay there. Luckily it rained a bit that day and evening sky from the room's balcony was surreal. Staff is very hospitable. Food was one of the best we had during our whole trip. We had Kumaoni Thali for our lunch and had some paneer dishes for our dinner. Everything tasted great. Would love to visit again in future.

Amazing peaceful hilltop cafe with snow peaked mountain view. Wooden interior looks so aesthetic, I was prefer to visit this cafe every evening while I was in Kasar Devi. Amazingly beautiful and outdoor sitting is perfect to spend time with hand beaten coffee and mesmerizing view around. Unmatched vibes are there. I can sit for hours there. It feels like meditating at the top of mountain.

This place is a true gem rooms food view everything on point special Thanks to Mr. Pandey(owner) he is such a generous person and always there to help you out even the staff is also very good. I would highly recommend their Hot Coffee I have never tried such coffee totally addictive. Food is top notch will surely visit this place again in almora

For View , yes it's perfect. For food, no , we ordered paneer dish, dal dish, mix veg and pizza. Taste was very blunt. We were not able to finish the food. I guess it's a bit overrated, for it's ambience, as there aren't many good looking cafe's near. We also had meals at other nearby cafe's, they were not so fancy looking but food was above average. Please check the taste by ordering something in less quantity prior to giving full order. And no resturant should say no to any customer, who also spent good amount, to give tea or any beverage after meal. That's totally rude and unacceptable. You need to manage your workforce and not say no to such simple items. EDIT AFTER REPLY- Thanks for replying and addressing the issue. Yes taste is a very subjective thing but burnt vegetables in mix veg and absolutely zero salt in paneer dish are actually cooking mistakes. Dal was also not tasting like a dal but some type of gravy. And I hope this wasn't the first time you were experiencing the rush, might have happened before as well. So you can think of appointing a separate person to handle beverages, especially when the waiting time after ordering was more than half an hour, at hills you don't get anything after 9 o clock and for many people having tea or coffee after meal is a necessity. Saying no to anything in your menu can't be justified at any cost, no matter how hard you try. I also run customer centric business and we need to manage our workforce according to the need of customer, and not to ask customer to adjust according to you. Hope the feedback helps to improve things.
