Amritara Suryauday Haveli, Varanasi

This is a very beautiful, cosy heritage type property located in the heart of the city and on the banks of river Ganga. Services are exceptional. Food is very delicious and it is served fresh and with a smile. Rooms are well appointed. Definitely worth considering. Since is located on river front , the cab will drop you about 200 meters away but the hotel sends a porter to pick your luggage and in fact they make sure that you don't face any inconvenience. Overall, excellent service.

Property is situated facing the river ganges. The hotel staff kept a check on us on our way to the property right from the time we landed in Varanasi. The staff is very respectful and very very hospitable. Property is very serene and beautiful. You will hear birds chirping around during the day and in the night it has beautiful vibe of slow music which is very soothing. Rooms were very clean and the food was very good as well. |Highly recommend

We loved our time at Suryauday. The entire team are dedicated to service and they do not hesitate to go above and beyond. The hotel is heritage and the rooms are comfortable with excellent air-con and facilities. Extra touches like a range of tea and fresh biscuits in the room make a difference. The bathrooms are large and everything works well. Coming back to hotel in the heat of the afternoon to be greeted by a delicious, complimentary high tea was wonderful. The stand out features of this hotel is its excellent location, dedicated team, high tea served every afternoon complimentary for guests and excellent breakfasts.

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The ambience of the place is warm and welcoming, and the view is absolutely outstanding -- truly a highlight of the experience. A special mention to the staff: Brijesh and Sandeep in the restaurant were exceptionally helpful and courteous, always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Hasan was equally attentive and kind, offering assistance whenever needed.||The only downside would be the accessibility if you're travelling with a senior citizen, as certain areas might be a bit challenging to navigate. However, the staff's willingness to help makes a big difference.||Overall, it was a memorable stay and I'll definitely be coming back!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Suryauday Haveli. Their rooms were super comfortable with stunning views. Terrace was very awesome and very well kept. Food and hospitality was exceptionally good. Chef Sanjay has magic in his hands. We always left the table over eaten. Manager Uday Shiv Singh and GM Pankaj Mahajan did everything to make us feel at home. Over all the staff was very polite and helpful. Will definitely return soon

Traditional ambience is a feature of this hotel that is nestled on the bank of the River Ganges. |Transport will drop you off approx 250m from hotel. Hotel staff come and collect your luggage and then you walk through alleyways to arrive at hotel. No vehicles expect motorbikes can gain access. |Vegetarian meals were great - very appetising. Hotel serves chai and snacks from 4-5pm each day. Breakfast - choice of American or traditional Indian. Stay was decent. Food was above expectations. However, the sales / reservation team and hotel team are just not well coordinated. We had booked with a few special requests, and the same were confirmed basis the availability. There was no mention of it not being able to cater untill the last moment. Those request were not updated by the reservations team to the team at the hotel. The reception staff was rude and the reservation teams won't pick up my call. It was terrible experience as we were checking out esp for my parents . Ankita was the reservation / sales woman and Hassan was on at the reception. Team definitely needs solution management skills.

Brilliant stay here. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. A lovely room with a view over the Ganges allowed us to watch the sunrise from our bed. An unforgettable evening meal on the rooftop terrace restaurant. An absolute gem of a hotel.
