MAGIC MOUNTAIN

First of all would like to orient those who are interested in this property that it is not a hotel but a homestay, so prepare and go by carrying your personal toiletries and other requirements. Secondly please do ask the food chart for you to know the prices as the food is amazing but exhorbitently priced high. So if you don't want to be shocked at the end with food bill you better know the rate in advance and accordingly order. The rooms are beautifully maintained, spacious and clean but do ask for room cleaning as it is not that well done. The host and the owner are very friendly and welcoming people. So it's a beautiful experience.

I will give this place a full 5 for the breathtaking view. Also very clean. However for the price of 8000 per night, the service has been pathetic. There is no fan, electric kettle, mineral water provided. The experience of ordering food has been awful. Bathroom faucet was leaking further there was barely any water force. The place seems to have a shortage of staff and adequate utensils (plates/ hotpots etc) which is why they constantly kept pestering that we finish dinner early so other guests can be served. Drinking water doesnt reach you unless u ask for it. Overall extremely unhappy with the price paid and experience received.

I stayed at mountain magic Kotagiri for 2 days and found this place to be very pathetic in terms of service and room. The view no doubt is breathtaking because of its location. 1. Firstly the road that leads to this place is very horrible, a steep slope and terrible terrain with no lights if you are travelling at night. Nobody bothers to inform about this or warn before reaching in fact they act as if it's very normal and in our case sent a boy to guide us down the route at night only on asking. The photos are misleading and do not show any glimpse of this at all. 2. The room which was initially offered to us, when we arrived at night could be accessed only through a spiral narrow and a dangerous stairway , despite us having a toddler and a pet. The photos which were sent to us by Mrs Jennifer only displayed the picturesque portion of the rooms and missed out this treacherous important detail. 3. Services are extremely pathetic in fact even basic services like towels, bath soaps and toiletries were not given on their own. House keeping is done only on request. Lunch was extremely late. 4. In order to ensure hygiene and timeliness for feeding my toddler, I have been carrying an induction and kettle with me for boiling milk, however I was harassed by Mrs Jennifer for doing the same, in fact I was willing to pay extra for the same however she was bent upon only schooling me which is completely inappropriate. 5. When I voiced my displeasure for this above mentioned attitude, she was rude and arrogant and hung up my call twice. She also was completely not receptive to any kind of negative feedback about the services. She in fact started schooling me needlessly after such a feedback. For person from the hospitality industry, this behaviour is shocking. Hope this feedback helps!!

I had stayed here for couple of days. The view from the room is breathtaking. The food is homely in nature. The road that leads to the stay is in very bad condition and steep downhill. You need experience to drive here. For the price of around 7000 per day what you get is very basic. I am comparing this with another place I stayed in coonoor. Since this is my first visit to Nilgiris, No regret.

A place one should definitely visit the ambience is what makes it very very different from others and right in the middle of a tea garden is what makes it a peaceful tie with nature. A special mention to Jennifer and Nalinakshan they were a great host. Few things that made them special - Great host who are very hospitable making sure their guest have a good stay at homestay. - Good food with the in-house kitchen and you get home made food in hot and warm with makes any food very delicious -bonfire was a free gift the windy weather and the bonfire to it will make you give yourself a thought wheather you want the night to end it not. Particularly a big thanks to Jennifer she made sure her guest don't have any issues during the stay. thanks a lot. Lastly, would say its a pocket friendly stay and one would have a time to remember.would love to visit again.

One of the best place you must stay. That was an amazing Gesture we got You should prefer this for all the aspects - Food, Balcony view, Decoration affordable, Hospitality, Ambience, Guidance, Safe. We spent an wonderful time in this resort The wooden room is chanceless. They have done the decorations as per our suggestions, They have cooked food as per our suggestions. Thank you Jennifer, Nalinakshan, Sebin for the amazing gesture and making our trip more memorable. That was an awesome memories we had

Service and food was excellent. Hats off to Nalinakshan and Mohan.. The place was full and they paid attention to everyone. Located 22kms from Ootty, the names should be updated in Google. I booked Mysterious Mountain, but the property pics and Google address where of different properties. Portion of the road to the property is so much damaged. Parked vehicle uphill. Nalinakshan had to help guests with their vehicles. No TV in rooms,no free wifi, for this price... Otherwise the hospitality, rooms and service were excellent.

Visited for one Night with my two kids. The location is wonderful. The service was good and very friendly. We requested food of our choice it was simply good. They arranged camp fire and my kids enjoyed it. Oveall Enjoyed the stay
