Hotel Sarkar Palace

I had high expectations from my stay at your hotel in Ooty, especially since the booking promised amenities like an electric kettle, room heater, toiletries, TV, and intercom. Unfortunately, none of these were functional during my stay. This caused significant inconvenience, especially given the cold weather. Additionally, the in-room dining experience was disappointing. Whenever we requested food in the room, the restaurant staff seemed annoyed and unwilling to assist, making it very uncomfortable to ask for basic service. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the guest experience by ensuring promised amenities are in working condition and the staff is more courteous and helpful.

The hotel is good, don't expect much from a budget friendly hotel. It is in the market area. Everything is walkable from here. If your plan is to see Ooty and the intention of this room is just to come and rest. It's the best place. The staff is very friendly.

There is no in house restaurant or room service. Breakfast offered is a limited amount coupon to be submitted at a limited menu Thalassery restaurant downstairs. Nothing great about the restaurant. Even filter coffee was not served there. We booked an interconnected room. Rooms were spacious and preserved heat nicely. Hot water is not there throughout the day, which was a big problem for us. Overall stay was ok. I would never again book a vacation in this hotel for sure

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights and my overall experience was ok. What i liked the most about this place was its located at the centre and has good connectivity to most of the popular places to visit in Ooty. Speaking of the hotel , i found the service okayish ..the rooms could have been cleaner. There was one thing misleading or i would say not fully disclosed* i booked through third party travel agent which showed that breakfast was included but i only come to know about the conditions after check in that they only provide breakfast upto Rs.150 per person at the restaurant downstairs called the Thalassery Thakarram Restaurant and anything consumed above that is payable . I think this must be properly disclosed regardless of where i book from. The hot water availability is timed which is also not disclosed anywhere while booking . The room sometimes feel less ventilated especially during afternoon when the temperature rises in Ooty and non of their rooms have AC but again you may not need it since the temperature is usually cool in ooty. The food in the restaurant that they have downstairs was good but the restaurant could have been more cleaner and you are allowed to order from Swiggy or Zomato in the hotel which is great. The overall price i paid for 3 nights was over 15k which i found very expensive but again i did a last minute booking so that could have affected the pricing. Overall my experience was ok, loved the weather in Ooty. This hotel wont be my first preference though next time if i am booking a trip to Ooty.

This Hotel Is Located in the prime Location of Ooty, Easily accessible and this Hotel is the Omni bus stand for Ooty, The restaurant which is located in the basement of this hotel is Fine. The food is great and Thalassery Briyani is highly recommended. Great Service and hospitality.

Pros: Located at the center of market so market botanical garden are easily reachable has Thalassery restaurant just below for food which serves good food Has spacious clean rooms Cons Wifi is slow Have mosquito Room rent is extremely high Could be difficult for oldies as rooms are on second floor I had a great stay with family

We loved this place. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is situated in the market. So everything is close by. The staff is very helpful and decent.

We took this hotel for the price 6200 for one night and the room was not at all good ..the blanket also didn't had any cover and seemed like not cleaned properly ..the owner of the hotel was rude firstly ..they didn't provide a good service at all ..we booked this hotel from @makemytrip by seing the room but the room was not worth more than 2000 and they charged us 6200 for one night ..we somehow spent some hours there and decided to move back to Bangalore by booking immediately our tickets and changing our plan ..while moving out I asked the manager if there is any refund amount they wish to give as we stayed only for 3-4 hours but they didn't care it shows they only wanting bussiness and not caring for there guests staying there ..the room even didn't had enough lighting ..it was a horrible experience for us as we don't wish anyone else to suffer so we are writing this review ..
