Paraikal Beach Resort

Wonderful experience. The staff were all so polite and attentive. The martial arts performance show was fantastic. The food was incredible (especially the chutney). The view of the sunset from the ocean rocks was spectacular and easily accessible from the resort. Manager Murugan was lovely and was very good at accommodating anything we asked for. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The AC was working well. The WiFi in the rooms was inconsistent, but that may have been due to bad weather.

Really good place for a calm, quiet vacation. Date of stay - 10 May 2025 Place - great, lot of open space around and beach is right in front. Room - good, spacious, good layout. Bathroom - big and neat. Hot water comes always, which is a problem in most of such small places. Service - very friendly staff - receptionist, cook, room boys, even the gardener and electrician smile and say hi to the guests. Food - good naadan food. Not fancy, but tastey food. Best thing I liked was that they have sand track (not tiles or cemented) inside the place, I enjoyed bare foot walking in the morning. :) Two small things which made me give 4 star rating instead of 5 star: 1) The food is very pricey. Rooms are also not cheap, but that is worth it. But food is not like that. A veg meal at Rs 250 or Rs 80 for a tea is not justifiable. They may be getting away with this because there are no other eating places nearby. 2) AC was not working well in 2 of the 4 rooms we occupied. Raised it to the staff more than once, they promptly came and checked and tried to do whatever they could, but didn't work properly. Will I visit them again? I would love to, only hesitation is the food pricing.

Villa 1B, 3 nights, 02.2025: The Paraikal Beach actually deserves 5 stars.|Room: spacious, attractive, neatly furnished and clean (including fan and A/C) Bathroom: all sanitary facilities work, the boiler delivers hot water 15 minutes after being switched on.|Service: communication via WhatsApp (no room phone) works without problems. Guest requests are answered promptly. Restaurant: menu requests for lunch/dinner must be announced in advance in the morning.|Cuisine: excellent Tamil/Kerala style food. Fish is seasoned so carefully that it retains its own flavor. Service is quick, friendly and competent. The two kitchen and service employees deserve special praise.|The complex is quietly located away from the main traffic routes and is still easy and quick to reach. The property is well maintained.|The beach (unfortunately quite littered) is a few meters away (a beach hotel is currently being built).|Why not 5 stars: daily room cleaning must be requested. the outdoor furniture is dusty (especially the lounger by the pool) and there are no mosquito nets in front of the windows and the door, so that they cannot be opened at night

Only suggestion is that since the food order timing is a little early, we should plan accordingly especially if we are visiting with kids.
