HOTEL VAHINI GRAND Luxurious stay

Good things first, 1) Location - Located on the Salem Kochi Highway this hotel is practical for long distance travellers with parking and a veg hotel in the ground floor and non veg hotel separately in the terrace. 2) The beds and room design is good. Things that irked 1) Driver accomodation, they collected 1200 for driver accomodation mentioning it as AC bunker with proper bad and toilet. But it is a congesting 12 bed dormitory without proper hygiene. 2) General Hygiene, the towels were soiled and so were the pillow covers. 3) Practicality for senior citizens, the restrooms did not have antiskid tiles which makes it very slippery after first use. For youngsters and all boys gang I would recommend this place not for families esp with senior citizens.

Its on the NH. (Near to SSM college entrance). Stayed here for 24 hours.Rooms are clean and neat with all the facilities. There are 24 rooms in the hotel and 4 types of rooms are there range between 3k to 5.5k. Very much suitable for families. saravana bhavan hotel is adjacent to this hotel. And there is a top roof non veg restaurant is attached with this hotel. A small partly hall which can occupy 50 people in aprox is available. There is a cup coffee cafe near to this hotel (walkable distance).

Perfect for a stop while travelling as it is bang on the highway. Very convenient location. The rooms are good and price is justified. Well maintained with all amenities you can expect. The bathroom needs a very strong exhaust fan and thoroughly needs to be cleaned. We could smell a lot of mold. If any person uses the bathroom even once, it becomes extremely difficult for the next person to use it. If they can fix the bathroom issues, the place is perfect for rest stops and more.

Seems like a newly opened hotel. Rooms are neat, clean and tidy in all manners. Checked in @ midnight and they asked to check out by 11 am as they have bulk booking of a marriage on following day. Though WiFi was included in the services offered, front desk as well as the room boy couldn't provide correct password There is an amazing veg restaurant in the ground floor , facing NH. No complimentary BF available

Clean AC rooms with all basic amenities. Right at the highway so no waste of time navigating inside the town for a quick stay. Food joint is available in same building (separate) so no worries there. I think hotel staff has had bad experience with other travellers stealing stuff like towels, so they are extra careful to check everything thoroughly, so better inform them 15 minutes in advance if in case checking out urgently. Everyone except one trainee at the desk (who didn't even know how to re-enable blocked card) is very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, enjoyable stay, so giving 5 star.

We specifically asked for non smoking quiet and clean room. But we were given a room in the smoking side(north side as they call it) of the hotel that was stinking of smoke smell. We were too tired to ask for a different room and stayed. Too much room freshener was used that it was felt in our throats throughout. Room was good. Running hot water. TV had netflix prime youtube etc. That was a plus. Basic amenities were available too. We paid Rs. 2650 per day without breakfast and for that the room could have been a little bit better is all. Like soap tray, brush holder, cleaner floor mats, smaller pillows and a non stinking room could have been available. Bed was okay. But pillows were a nightmare. So tall that we got a neck pain. They better work on their pillows.

The hotel's proximity to the National Highway was a convenient advantage for travelers like myself. However, there was one aspect that left me slightly uncomfortable. During checkout, I was asked for tips for the room boys, even though I hadn't interacted with them during my stay or upon checking in. This felt a bit awkward. Despite this minor concern, my stay at the hotel was enjoyable, primarily due to the cleanliness of the rooms and the convenient location.
