Netuk House

Our group of 5 Aussies really enjoyed our stay at Netuk House. The rooms were large and beds comfortable. The small staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. There were not many guests at the time we stayed but dinner was available upon request. We didn't need it as the town was full of food options just a short walk away.

There are more positives than negatives for this hotel.|Pros:|1. Location is very good. M G Road is just 10 mins walk away from the hotel.|2. Mt Kanchenjunga is visible from the hotel. We had a very good view in the morning.|3. Food is very good. We had dinner for 2 days. They customised the items based on the need for our kids. We wanted mon spicy food and it was provided.|4. Geyser is present in bathrooms.|5. A special mention for Mr. Prosenjit Laha (manager) who helped us right from booking till we left the hotel.||Cons:|1. I found the staff was a bit rude sometimes while speaking with them. I have informed the same to Mr. Prosenjit Laha.|2. Snacks items in the evening is served a bit late around 6:30 PM which I feel is late. This should have been around 5:30 PM.|3. If the head cook is not available then there will be limited menu for dinner.||Overall, it was a good and peaceful stay at Netuk House.

We had the most beautiful stay at Netuk house. All of the staff were so very helpful, welcoming & friendly!! We very much enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with a view of the town & mountains. The food was also very delicious. Special mention to Prasenjit at the front desk who helped arrange logistics.

A family run hotel with personal and attentive care. Authentic and charming and situated very close to central Gangtok. The meals are excellent with a good variety. We had a wonderful room with a view ( although sadly the clouds denied us this!) Recommend!

Had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming, the room was spotless and cozy, the terrace offered a picturesque view and the location was just perfect.||A special thanks to the General Manager, Mr. Prasenjit Laha, for his exceptional support. He truly knows how to take care of his guests - a very courteous and professional gentleman.

A wonderful heritage hotel just above the main town centre of Gangtok, easily walkable. Comfy rooms, with a heritage theme, good restaurant with very helpful staff, and an owner who goes out of his way to be of assistance. There cannot be a better place in Gangtok!

My partner and I spent three nights at Netuk House. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with personalized and customer-focused service that immediately made us feel at ease. The team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Despite it being Holi and quite busy, they still managed to serve delicious meals. The chili chicken and fried rice were definitely a highlight - flavorful and exactly what we needed after a day full of activities. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was incredibly cozy. We both slept very well. Overall, our stay at Netuk House was a good experience, and we would highly recommend it to other couples looking for a hospitable and relaxing place to stay. The hotel could be a nice one and the location is strategic (walking distance from the pedestrian center of Gangtok) but it will be necessary to implement both the decor of the rooms and common spaces and the quality of the services. Our room was too cold, wi-fi worked badly, the kettle did not have the right plug and the correct length of electric wire, furniture was scattered in the room without a proper lay out although the idea of "Tibetan"touch could be lovely. Breakfast extremely deceiving. The owner was extremely kind with us so I hope he will understand that my comments aim to enhance the experience for potential western travellers.
