SWAROOP VILAS - LAKE FACING BOUTIQUE HOTEL

We booked this resort for my birthday, and while everything looked perfect on Google,beautiful photos, great descriptions, the actual experience didn't quite live up to expectations. We reached early on 9th May and politely asked the receptionist if early check-in was possible. He informed us that we could check in after an hour, which was perfectly fine with us. However, when we returned, a different receptionist responded quite rudely, without even checking the earlier conversation. He accused us of being forceful, which was both untrue and uncalled for. A little internal communication and basic courtesy would've gone a long way. Once in the room, we noticed the food menu had different prices than what we were charged while ordering. The room phone wasn't working, and despite multiple requests, housekeeping didn't show up for cleaning. Quite surprising for a resort that presents itself as premium. And yes, every morning the AC mysteriously turned off. We had to call and remind them 2-3 times before it was turned back on. Not quite the relaxing, worry-free getaway we had in mind. To be fair, not all staff were impolite,some were genuinely helpful. But the experience at the reception left a lasting impression, and unfortunately, not a good one. Overall, we wouldn't recommend this resort unless major improvements are made in staff training, communication, and guest services.

We had a disappointing experience at this hotel. While the room itself was decent and hotel was looking nice, there were several major issues that made our stay uncomfortable: The AC in our room wasn't working, which made it difficult to relax. Even after calling to reception no major changes were made We're pure vegetarians, but the hotel is focused on non-veg food, and there were no proper vegetarian options available. We had to go elsewhere to eat. They advertised a welcome drink at check-in, but we never received it. After a few hours and a phone call, they claimed it must have been delivered to our room--but it wasn't. Only after insisting did they finally send it. The parking mentioned was misleading. There is no dedicated parking space--only public roadside parking, which was full. The swimming pool was dirty and not usable. Although the room looked nice, the bathroom had a strong unpleasant smell, which ruined the overall comfort. Would not recommend this hotel unless they seriously improve their facilities, clarity of services, and hospitality.

From the moment I checked in, she made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed--not just within the hotel, but for my entire visit to the city. Avantika has an impressive knowledge of Udaipur's history, culture, and local attractions. She took the time to understand my interests and curated a personalized list of must-visit spots, from the iconic City Palace and Lake Pichola to lesser-known local markets and art galleries that offered a more authentic feel of Udaipur. Her restaurant suggestions were also spot-on, especially for someone wanting to try traditional Rajasthani cuisine. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and ideally located, making it easy to explore the city. The staff was courteous, the amenities were well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Thanks to Avantika's thoughtful guidance and attention to detail, I was able to experience Udaipur in a truly immersive way. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the city--especially if you're lucky enough to be assisted by her.

Wonderful Stay-cation with Friends!! I have visited with friends and the ambience hotel is very goods. Excellent food and room service. The view and the amenities are excellent, and The reservation staff member Ms. Silvi is extremely friendly and helpful person, we have enjoyed a lot. I have stayed in a lake view room with a private balcony. Excellent location and Highly recommend to others.

Our experience at Swaroop Vilas was excellent. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and tastefully designed, giving a cozy and relaxing vibe. The staff was very polite and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The location is great, close to key attractions and convenient for getting around. The ambiance of the property, especially in the evening with all the lights, was truly charming. Overall, a very pleasant and memorable stay!

I had high expectations from this 4-star hotel, but my experience was quite disappointing. The service was consistently poor throughout my stay. Basic amenities were not provided unless specifically requested, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this rating. It was frustrating to constantly ask for essentials that should have been readily available. Considering the high prices, the level of comfort and service did not match up. I expected far better for the amount charged. Unfortunately, I do not feel that this hotel provides good value for money. I would not recommend staying here unless they make significant improvements in their service standards.

Location of Swaroop Vilas is perfect with beautiful lake views & walkable distance to the old city. However, the property didn't justify its rates. The rooms were clean but too small. The property itself is very small. Lunch that we ordered from the restaurant was good, but the free breakfast was pathetic. The hotel can be a good stay for around 4500 per night, not more than that. However, we paid 8000 per night and were not really happy with the services and amenities.

This hotel is genuinely great. They provide great service experience within the seconds. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and elegantly designed, with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The view from my window was breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of my stay. The restaurants provide delicious food and great atmosphere for dinning experience.
