Amet Haveli, A Heritage hotel, Udaipur

Situated on the edge of the lake, this centrally located hotel is near all the Udaipur attractions. Sitting on the hotel restaurant terrace watching the sunset over the lake is a magical experience. The hotel is laid out around a series of beautifully landscaped quiet courtyards some of which date back to the 18th century. The rooms are clean and spacious. Many have views of the lake. The staff if friendly and courteous. We had a very authentic and highly enjoyable experience staying at Amet Haveli.

My wife and I spent three nights here en route from Jaipur to Cochin. After a long journey to arrive at this oasis on shores of lake Pichola was like a dream. We had a very comfortable room with a lake side view and every evening dined in their restaurant with equally fantastic views particularly in the evening. The bustling old town is easily accessible in a 10 to 15 minute walk via a bridge. You then realise that the hotel and other shops and buildings are in fact on an island! The service at the hotel was excellent!

Beautiful hotel, full of charme in a fantastic position.|It is situated ion the edge of the lake and it is near all the Udaipur attractions. The room we were staying was gig with a very comfortable bathroom and an outstanding view over the lake and tha city palace.|Breakfast and dinner are exquisite and sitting on the hotel restaurant terrace and watching the sunset or the sun rise over the lake is a magical experience.|The staff is very professional and gentle.|In particular at the reception mrs Tapati Ghosh has benn particularly kind and helpful. She speaks very good English, she is pleats smiling and willing to help !|We spent there two beautiful days

Nice Heritage Hotel with stunning lake view rooms. Breakfast and Dinner at The Ambrai restaurant is the cherry on the top !! Nice places to click so many photos! Pool area is also nice and clean. Breathtaking views of the Pichola lake and City palace and We also enjoyed night music from Gangaur ghat !!

Amet haveli is a heritage lake view hotel built between 1734-1752 A.D. It has the old world charm about it along with modern amenities. It offers one of the best views of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, with the city palace on one side and the Lake Palace on the other. The location is also very convenient as you need to just crossover a footbridge to reach the old city & its attractions which is about 10 minutes away. ||We had booked a lake facing super deluxe room since that was the only room available on our travel dates, but we were not disappointed since it was a beautiful, spacious corner room with lake view on all sides. They have limited rooms so I suggest to plan in advance.||The dining experience at their Ambrai restaurant is also top notch with excellent cuisine and service. However, it's quite busy and very popular among locals too so would advise to reserve in advance. We would also like to mention Sneha & Bharat who made our stay extra special.

I wish all hotels were as good as this one. A beautiful restored haveli right on the lake with views to die for. Staff were wonderful, rooms were spacious. Our room looked onto the lake. The restaurant was so romantic for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Lots of small shops nearby and easy walk to the lake bridges.

Went here for lunch. Food was very good and satisfying. The service was off to a rough start: Once seated we had to wait a while before someone would serve us. Then we were given a menu with a missing main-course-page. Finally a waiter came (unfortunately I don't remember his name!) he was very helpful quick and polite. Gave us a new menu and made sure the rest of the stay was very pleasant. Before leaving we asked him to take a picture of us which he kindly did too.

Can't believe this is only a 3 star hotel. So much better than some 5 star hotels in other cities. The room we were given was huge with views over the city palace and the lake palace. The pool area was lovely and the restaurant is right on the lake. We had dinner there one night and the food was very good. Breakfast is also served in the same area and there was a good choice of food although the only coffee was instant.
