Fateh Garh by Fateh Collection (A Heritage Renaissance Resort)

Very nice property with pool, spa and paid activities like zipline, jungle walk (walk was not open in summer when we visited), vintage car collection etc. We had a good room with a good view of Pichola lake. They also have paid taxi service which is more convenient than taking your own vehicle around. The breakfast buffet was good. However the dinner buffet was not that good. There were comparatively very few options than what you expect out of a buffet. However the open terrace restaurant gave a very good view of the surrounding hence it was overall good experience. The staff was very good. Overall a very good experience of staying here. Also very happy to see them take concrete steps in sustainability.

A truly wonderful 3 night stay at Fateh Garh - a modern hotel based on the design of the royal owners' original palace. Set in the hills with uninterrupted views of Lake Pichola, the hotel draws the cooler breezes.||Our room was elegant and functional. Breakfast was a wide selection, and the man playing the flute added an exotic atmosphere. The hotel's pool is perfectly sited looking to Lake Pichola, and dinner on the terrace with the city lights twinkling below is an unforgettable experience.||Special thanks to Mr Devendra Rathore for being so personable - we felt like guests in his home - and for the wonderful experience of the ride in the classic car. Thanks too to all the staff who were kind and helpful.||

We had a lovely experience at fatehgarh. Its a heritage property and you get a royal feeling. Property is spotless clean. Service is exceptional. Food is also great. Overall just loved our stay. Would highly recommend it for someone who is looking for a relaxed stay with touch of royalty.

Lovely and relaxing. Amazing outlook, restaurant and breakfast was very good. Rooms very generous in size and nice and clean. All the staff were lovely and our room attendant Bhanwar Lal was excellent. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Exceptionally comfortable stay at the Fateh Garh resort . The location is 35 mins from the airport. Smooth checkin and the amenities were explained very well by Mriganka who has the calmest demeanour. The rooms are large and spacious and very aesthetically pleasing. Loved the brand of toiletries provided. The staff was always polite and attentive. Any request we had was handled so graciously by Veena. Nothing was an issues and they accommodated all our requests. We did the day tour with Piyush who made our entire day very pleasant. The spa service by Rose was divine after a long day of travel. We had most of our meals at the property and the indian cuisine was delicious. The breakfast spread had adequate options. The pool was impeccably maintained. We even tried the cocktails at the bar and they were well made too. Our experience was enhanced by the smiling faces of the staff throughout our stay. The property was clean, luxurious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you team Fatehgarh.

This was the sixth hotel on our Jules Verne tour of Northern India, and we spent 1 night here. We were moved to the Fateh Garh by our tour operator, after complaining about our original Udaipur hotel (the truly awful Trulyy Amar Mahal). It was a real treat to stay in such a lovely hotel after having had an uncomfortable previous night! The location is great - just a short drive from Udaipur, with 360 degree views of the Aravali hills including a beautiful view over Lake Pichola.||We were greeted warmly by the staff when we arrived at the hotel and escorted swiftly to our rooms. The hotel is a beautiful set of buildings which sprawl out across multiple levels, with interesting nooks and crannies at every turn. Our room (18, on the courtyard level) was an excellent size, with a seating area and large bathroom. It was traditionally styled, but with mod-cons such as good air conditioning and a fridge. We were slightly disappointed that our room was one of the few which did not have its own terrace area, but there was plenty of seating around the property, so it was fine for our very short stay. We also had some issues with power cuts while we were there, but they didn't last for very long.||There are a couple of swimming pools at the hotel, the most impressive being the infinity pool, which has great views over Lake Pichola. It was absolutely freezing - but refreshingly so, given the heat levels in Udaipur during our visit. We were very lucky to be there on a clear day though, which allowed us some fabulous sunset views later that day. The courtyard bar had great views as well. ||We were lucky enough to have both dinner and breakfast included in our stay, and both were memorable experiences. We had a set menu dinner out on the restaurant terrace, which ended up being the best meal that we had in India. Our only minor criticism was that we couldn't see what we were eating a lot of the time - the candles were certainly atmospheric, but we could have done with a bit more light. ||Breakfast was also a great experience - the food was of excellent quality and there was a lot of choice, plus we had a flute player serenading us throughout. When we left, our guide arranged for some of the local women to perform a farewell ceremony, which was lovely and much appreciated. ||We were very sad to leave the Fateh Garh, but very pleased that we had been able to stay there at all - we were very lucky that they had availability for our group at such short notice. If we ever go back to Udaipur again, we'd love to stay here once more!

Amazing property. The staff were very king and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place for visit. Food was delicious . It has the best infinity pool and views from the pool are picture worthy. Cheers to the owners and the staff. Thanks for being so welcoming.
