Friendly and welcoming. We loved this hotel the best out of our other hotels like Hilton and Mercure as it wasn't faceless. Funny monkeys and mango trees. Lovely pool. Could do with more loungers. Outside shower is absolutely amazing! Great for safari.

This was the third hotel on our Jules Verne tour of Northern India, and we spent 2 nights here. We only found out that we were staying here just before we left the UK - we were originally due to stay at the nearby Pugmark Resort, then we were moved to the Ranthambore Regency, before finally ending up at the Kothi. We were not unhappy with the change though, as the Kothi looked similar in style to the Pugmark and was much nearer to the Ranthambore entry gates than the Regency.||The short trip from the main road to the Kothi was dusty and bumpy, so it was nice to get to the hotel to find that the grounds were full of greenery. It is a small hotel in a quiet location, which was a nice respite from the large city-based hotels that we had stayed at in Delhi and Agra. Once we had checked in, the porters showed us to our room (602) which was on the first floor. We very much liked our room - it was by far the largest one that we stayed in during our travels, with indoor and outdoor seating areas, a dressing area, and an enormous bathroom with a bonus outdoor shower. Unfortunately, the location of the room turned out to be less than ideal, as we were the nearest room to the entry gates, so there was no privacy on the balcony. But, as we knew that we would not be spending a lot of time in our room, this wasn't a big issue. There were some minor maintenance issues in the room, but nothing concerning.||We stayed there on a full board basis, so had 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners and 1 lunch in the restaurant. The food was fine - not a huge amount of choice, but it was regularly replenished, and the service was pretty good. The bar was a nice place for a drink, and they served high tea on the front lawn in the afternoon - there was a wedding party staying there at the same time, so we were treated to music and dancing too.||The pool area is a lovely spot, although it was looking a bit tired in places. It was really nice to have some chill-out time there in between our game drives. There was a nice outdoor area near the bar as well, but we weren't able to use it at night because of the risk of mosquitos. The toilets by reception were also full of mosquitos - it would be good if the hotel could install some additional mosquito prevention measures in that area. Thankfully neither of us actually got bitten though!||The highlight of our stay was obviously our visit to Ranthambore, where we were lucky enough to see 6 tigers and 2 sloth bears. As mentioned above, the location of the Kothi is ideal in relation to travel distance to Ranthambore, as the game drives are quite long, so it is nice to only have a short transfer on top of that (the canters are not particularly comfortable). Overall, we had a really great stay at the Ranthambore Kothi and would be happy to go back (as long as we had a better located room).
Excellent location, very close to the Park entry gate, though you still need transport to get there. Nice large well appointed rooms. The food and service were outstanding. Personalized to our tastes with attention to every detail. If we visit Ranthambhore again, we will stay only at the Ranthambhore Kothi.
Lovely rural hotel close to the tiger park in Ranthambhore. Very good food, comfortable beds and a great outdoor shower. A relaxing atmosphere sitting listening to the birds. Very clean with friendly staff. The spa is open until 8pm and reasonably priced.
The place is quiet and very close to the entrance of ranthambhore NP. The rooms are very spacious and the bed comfortable. The best of all is the wonderful food they serve, breakfast, lunch & dinner, and last but not least a very helpful and extraordinary friendly staff, always with a smile on their face. The garden is wonderful for having an exquisit G&T for sundowner, well needed after tiger sightings.
Great location for tiger safaris.|Had 5 safaris, 3 blanks but saw 6 tigers- awesome bucket list experience.|Staff really attentive|Large spacious rooms with nice quiet A/C and moonlit showers- cool! Great food- buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with a European option if needed. Great pool and nice touches like tea and biscuits at 5am before a safari and after.
Ranthambhore Kothi is an amazing oasis just outside the safari area. From your arrival you are greeted by the staff that just want you to be happy and relaxed. Nothing is ever too much and the relaxation after the manic nature of Delhi is a deafening silence! The lovely pool area is just so clean and service is great. Our room was both huge and very comfortable. Having both an inside and outside shower felt like a luxurious bonus and the service in the restaurant felt very social and personal at the same time. Nothing was ever too much for the exceptional staff that made us feel so welcome. Kothi hotel is situated along a good 5 minutes of very rough tracks but is only about 15 minutes from the pick up points for the safaris so perfectly placed for both relaxation and adventure! This hotel and staff can't be faulted.
Part of a tour group. Comfortable accommodation, good food, excellent spa/massage, fabulous pool area and pleasant staff but watch out for drink charges! |Group members charged for doubles not just in evening but also at poolside late morning! Not even sure if drink actually served was a double!! Check bill to ensure not charged for extra drinks also!|Experience rating reflects the issues to do with drinks experienced by myself and several others in the group.
