Ranbanka Palace

I stayed here twice nine years ago and had very fond memories of a vibrant hotel with lush gardens and lots of guests. Sadly that was not the case this time. The hotel has obviously been allowed to run down. The beautiful lawn where I sat with my grandson under the stars and watched a magic show- is now a dust bowl. There's a feeling of decay throughout the premises. The pool area is still lovely and it was sparkling.|Our room was poorly furnished- a dilapidated modern couch looked very out of character and things seemed piece meal in presentation. All the framed photos of polo players were cracked. |We were disappointed there was no hot water in our first night and even more so the next morning. The room phone didn't connect so I presented at reception to ask about the hot water and was informed I had to let them know 5 minutes before we needed it!! After we got that info we were fine and hot water came! |The food was ok. |Just do disappointed as I was looking forward to taking my husband there. I'd really talked up the memories.|Hopefully someone takes it in hand and restores it to its former style and glory.

The ranbanka palace was a great experience I visited recently the place is so beautiful the ambience is very good. Service is excellent. The rooms were very big and spacious. The pool area was also great. The night dinner buffet was really nice the lightings, the show and the food everything was perfect.

Had a pleasant stay for 3 nights and 4 days. |Customer service oriented team members from the 1st fact at entrance - security to the Front office, Restaurant, maintenance team, errand staff.|It is a beautiful place to stay. There is Rajasthani music in the late evening and a musical instrument is played in the morning during the breakfast. Lovely environment!

The hotel is absolutely charming, the rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. It has the ambience of the era of the Raj. The restaurant has two options, inside and outside dining, we were here in winter and enjoyed both. The quality of the food is excellent. Outside they have lovely portable fire pits to keep you warm. The atmosphere of the gardens, the charming decor and fountains make it a delightful dining experience. The only downside.... The nightly very loud entertainment. It goes for 3 hours, from 7pm to 10pm, every night. It's impossible to quietly enjoy your meal. The entertainers come to your table and it can be an up close uncomfortable feeling, particularly while you are eating. If you decide on an early night the loud music makes it difficult to sleep. Our personal suggestion would be to limit this entertainment to a maximum of one hour. Whilst interesting 3 hours is overpowering. The staff are wonderfully attentive, and extremely welcoming. The only other issue we found was the train noise, this didn't detract from our stay but the rooms are not soundproof at all.

Hotel is nice and well managed. Special thanks to Deependra singh for his warm hospitality. This heritage hotel is located in the hear of the city which is very helpful to visit all the tourist spots in the shorted possible time. Jodhpur is a nice city to visit.

Ranbanka Palace was comfortable with a beautiful central garden for drinks and dining. We had drinks and dinner and the service was charming. There is wonderful shop selling clothing and scarves and we regretted not buying more when we were there. Our experience of shopping in India is if you see something you like buy it as you may not see it again. Good large standard rooms and pleasant staff.
