Baijoo Niwas - Heritage Boutique Hotel, Jodhpur

This place is marvellous. The owner Anshuman Pivas is very hands on and attentive. Thank goodness for that as my family arrived with fairly bad gastro and they were marvellous at helping get us back on our feet. ||The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms clean and ample hot water and the beds were comfortable. ||The rooftop terrace a feature of many Jodpur venues is superb. ||We loved our time here but it's shame we were under the weather. Throughly recommend this place. Location also good for easy access to the Old Town.

This hotel is fantastic. Conveniently located near the train station, the hotel is in a noisy busy area, but when you step inside it is an oasis of peace and quiet. There is also a lovely rooftop patio. Two old homes were beautifully and recently renovated and everything is beautifully and tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The bed was wonderfully firm and comfortable. Towels and linens were good quality. While a/c was available the ceiling fan kept the room comfortable. The shower was wonderful! Our room even had a basket of complimentary snacks. Because we had to leave before breakfast after our second night, an ample breakfast was packed for us to take with us to the airport. The staff are very friendly and thoughtful. It is an unbelievable value for the price. I liked that the hotel had both Indian and foreign guests and it was fun to meet others in the restaurant, where we had a delicious dinner and the breakfast included with the room. We loved staying at Baijoo Niwas and recommend it highly!

Baijoo Niwas in Jodhpur is an amazing place to stay. The heritage charm of the property is beautifully maintained, and the hospitality is top-notch. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-designed, giving a perfect mix of tradition and modern comfort. The rooftop terrace offers a breathtaking view of Mehrangarh Fort, making it a great spot to relax. The location is also perfect--right near Sojati Gate, so it's easy to explore the city, but still peaceful and quiet. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Definitely a great choice for anyone visiting Jodhpur!

I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the railway station. Though the area where hotel is located is not very clean, the hotel itself is wonderful. The room was clean, AC worked well (it was important as temperatures during the day reached 40degC). I stayed for two nights and the staff were amazing. When I checked out in the middle of the night to catch my night train, they even gave me a bag of snacks, biscuits and a banana since I was not able to have a breakfast. I will gladly return when I am back in Jodhpur.

Outstanding stay. I could not fault the hotel, it's a hidden gem. Staff are attentive and very happy to assist. The property is full of character and always spotlessly clean. The food is amazing. Only a short walk to the clock tower (less than 10 minutes) and feels perfectly safe. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: Convenient location (check note 1 below), decent food, clean rooms, quiet stay|Cons: Behaviour pattern of the staff can be erratic. (Check note 2 below)||Note 1: The location is very close to the railway station, but can be tricky to find. Google maps can make you go in circles. If you are using a train, you can get out of the train station and take a right turn from outside platform 1. Walk to the Sojati square, which is about a 10 minute walk. You will pass Janta sweet home along the way. Then from the square, you need to take a left turn into the road adjacent to the one you came from. Note that this is not a 90 degree turn. After this you can find Baijoo Niwas towards your right in the lane. You can walk up to Mehrangarh fort and other places from this hotel.||Note 2: The owner was kind enough to upgrade our room to a bigger one for the same price due to availability. While the staff working there was not outrightly rude or disrespectful, their behaviour came across as cold and indifferent at times, and made us feel we are not fully welcome. It is a heritage boutique hotel, so maybe the hospitality expected from a large hotel cannot be replicated here fully.

Rooms - cozy, serene and clean rooms with antic lights, our room had sitting area and a fountain view, felt calm and relaxed Service - owner was really humble and staff was very friendly. Owner was helpful and ensured that we don't face any issue Location - sojati gate is a main shopping hub and this place is at walkable distance from there. But inspite of being in core of the city, the place is constructed in a way that it remains calm and poised and gives away from the city feel. Food- Was not just tasty but quality was top notch
