Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very clean and even nicer than we had pictured, the free breakfast was great and dinner was fantastic. The staff at the hotel are especially great. After a night turned unlucky on what was supposed to be an overnight desert safari following a scorpion sting, the staff were able to accommodate us for an extra night late in the evening in our original rooms. Also a great location as our group really enjoyed exploring the fort!

A Magical Stay at Victoria Hotel, Jaisalmer Okay, this review is long overdue, but as they say--better late than never! Some experiences just stay with you, and our stay at Victoria Hotel in Jaisalmer is one of those unforgettable ones. We were a family of four and had the privilege of staying in their two best rooms from Jan 1st to Jan 4th, 2025. Let me just say--what a start to the new year! The hotel is tucked inside the living fort of Jaisalmer (yes, people actually live inside the fort!), and that itself makes it feel like you're part of something truly special. One room offered a breathtaking view of the fort and the city beyond, while the other overlooked the charming, narrow alleys and homes inside the fort--both views were picture-perfect in their own ways. Breakfast on the rooftop? Just wow. Even though it's all vegetarian, it was packed with flavor--Indian and international dishes made with so much love, and that view while you eat? Absolutely out of this world. The staff was another highlight--so warm, responsive, and genuinely eager to help. Special shoutout to Pankaj Purohit, the owner. Even though he wasn't physically at the hotel, he was always just a call away and made sure we were well taken care of. That personal touch goes a long way. The hotel itself is a gem--a boutique heritage property that radiates old-world charm, yet feels totally comfortable and world-class. And the location couldn't be better--everything is just a short walk away, from the fort's attractions to the beautiful old havelis. All in all, we had an amazing family vacation, and Victoria Hotel played a huge part in that. Highly, highly recommend it if you want to soak in the real spirit of Jaisalmer with comfort, charm, and a little bit of magic.
I am giving only 5 stars because I am not allowed to give ten. This hotel has the best hospitality I have ever received from anywhere. This was the second time I had been there. Situated in the best possible location in Jaisalmer. The Mahraja Palace is just a two-minute walk. Apart from that, all the important tourist spots are easily accessible. Coming to the hospitality...this is a homestay and I assure you they will make you feel like staying in your second home. Manager and All the staffs were so humble. Whenever we were having meals, they used to stand there constantly to serve us with whatever needed, just like someone treats their guests. From taking care of our every need very attentively to making sure we enjoyed every moment of our stay, they gave their best. Not only that, they prepared famous local dishes and special desserts for us out of courtesy . When we were living it felt like living your 'Maika'. Definitely will visit them again. Very much recommended.
Great Hospitality & Stunning Views I had a pleasant stay at Victoria Stay in Jaisalmer Fort. The staff was kind and always ready to assist, and the manager was particularly helpful, ensuring a smooth experience. While some rooms felt a bit congested, the breathtaking view from the rooftop more than made up for it. The charm of staying inside the historic fort added to the overall experience. Definitely worth considering for a unique and memorable stay in Jaisalmer! Food is lil expensive.
Our stay at Hotel Victoria, Jaisalmer, was excellent. From the time we first contacted the host/owner for information, to check-in and until check-out, the service provided by the host and the hotel staff was truly exceptional. The hotel is an old Haveli that has been renovated in authentic Rajasthani style and located within the Jaisalmer fort. We had amazing views of the town from our rooms. Given its origins as a Haveli it has an interesting layout and authentic decor, including a large rooftop which is where meals are served. The menu offered had good choices and all of the items we sampled were delicious. Given the courteous and homely service and accommodation in a beautiful location, our three nights at Victoria felt more like a comfortable home stay rather than a hotel. We appreciated the thoughtful little touches and local advice and tips provided by the host. Highly recommend staying here!
We visited Hotel Victoria and had a stunning time. The food was excellent as well as the service. All of our needs were taken care of in a timely manner. The view was beautiful from the terrace as well as from the rooms were phenomenal. Definitely recommend!
Excellent location. Navin ji who manages the property is a great host and made us feel at home. Must visit for anyone visiting jaisalmer. Cheers ! P.S: Considering the heritage the property has, would suggest the owners to change the name to some Indian name.
The hotel is situated inside the fort, which is a prime location. The room felt like a piece of history. The view from the rooftop is excellent. And the hospitality provided by the staff is great as well!
