The Castle View Homestay

This cosy homestay offers some of the best views over Garh Palace from the rooftop restaurant. It is nestled within the old part of town and close to many interesting attractions. The home cooked dinner (you need to pre-order) and breakfast were delicious. We had booked a deluxe double room with balcony which, when compared with other accommodation we have booked in Rajasthan, was more expensive for what we got. To have a balcony cost us extra, but was unusable due to monkeys in the area. Also, the room was smaller than the pictures show, bed was short and at 163cm I could not lie out flat without hitting the end of the bed. There was also unfinished electrical work in the room. On the plus side, the rooms were very clean, air con was good and the decor beautiful. When paying, we were charged an additional 3% to use a credit card. The hotel also claims to have on-site parking which it does not. You have to park around 100m away and walk the final bit up the path. The staff assisted with bags but I think they should state this on their site up front.

We stayed 3 nights at Castle View Homestay. Our room was not large but was clean and comfortable. Manu and his brother, Kushi run the Homestay with their family. The rooftop deck had an amazing view of Garh Palace and Taragarh Fort. We arrived by car at the Garh Palace parking lot. From there you have to walk up some streets to the Homestay. Kushi helped bring our bags. There are lots of stairs so it might not be good for someone with mobility issues or the very elderly. We had the most healthy breakfast there that we had in all of India. Manu's parents do the cooking and the food was very good. We enjoyed our time at this Homestay and would recommend staying there.

It is a fantastic guesthouse. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with traditional Indian touches that create a cozy and authentic ambiance. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the availability of a heater for added comfort. The staff were incredibly friendly and always eager to assist, making our stay even more enjoyable. This was the best accommodation we've experienced in India so far. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here--don't hesitate to book!

Lovely clean and friendly homestay with the best view and the best food. The location of this homestay is quite amazing. From the terrace you look up to the beautiful Bundi Palace. It's light up at night and we could see thousands of bats pouring out at dusk. The palace by the way is Incredible and hosts the most beautiful wall paintings. The food at the homestay was the best we had on our 3 week trip. We also had a cookery demonstration from the Mother of the family showing us how she made these dishes. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend a stay here

A lovely family run hotel, just four rooms, and great hospitality. Good food at breakfast and dinner on the rooftop, with wonderful views of the palace. The owner Nanu looked after us very well and arranged an excellent guide (Narendra) to take us around the palace and city. Very reasonable prices too!

Small guest house with only 4 rooms, so nice and quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well presented. The real selling point is the view from the roof terrace of the fort, beautiful both day and night.|The food was home cooked and very tasty. The only negative was that the evening meal was a set meal (which we were happy with) but each dish was then charged individually, which made it expensive. It should either be a set meal at a fixed price or a menu with choices that are charged individually.

We had an exceptional overnight stay at the Homestay. The scenery was out of this world and you could not help but relax on the rooftop, eat some amazing home cooked dishes, with a nice refreshing drink.. We were given some really interesting stories about the area, people, and the wildlife. Had an amazing personal experience, which beat the regular hotel atmosphere. Would recommend this beautiful oasis to anyone that visits Bundi

Such a shame we only had 24 hours there! Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast outstanding and a breathtaking view of the palace and fort. Sitting out on the rooftop in the evenings with candles glowing and the palace and fort delicately lit up was an evening that will stay with me for a long time. Shlok and his family went out of their way to make our stay and memorable as possible. We definitely recommend.
