Kiran Guest House

Kiran Guest House is a home stay just 300 meters away from Bharatpur Sanctuary entrance and located in good residential locality that's quiet and green. ||||The prices for accommodation are truly attractive to every wildlife or nature lover tourist who knows well stays are a lot costlier during wildlife trips. ||||Kiran guest house optionally offers dine-in food that we found is home-made and safe given its importance during travel times. We could ask them to pack breakfast and lunches that can be carried inside the park and have it conveniently. The park does not have much food options inside and one can expect only limited packaged food and beverage options. (certainly not recommended) ||||The host of the guest house is also one of the best birding guide to the sanctuary who has exceptional knowledge about the birds and its sightings during varying seasons over a year.

We didn't find the guesthouse easily, good point. That means it is far from the noise and bustle of the city. The staff was very helpfull and the room was clean. Spacious bathroom with hot water. Breakfast was quiet good. The owner offered his help to discover the park. You can leave your luggage in a locker room to visit the park at your ease (not even 5 minutes from the park).||I strongly recommend Kiran guesthouse to all travalers...

Tarun Singh and his family were very welcoming. We enjoyed sitting upstairs on the open porch where we could relax. We ate at the Kiran house both days. The food was delicious!!! Two of the family members are naturalists. The location is great; close to a national park and bird sanctuary where we hired a naturalist to give us a tour... amazing!There is a wonderful museum and fort close by as well.

For me Kiran was a real mixed bag. The pluses: Very friendly and helpful family and a great location only 300 meters from the National Park. The minuses: The rooms are quite basic, except for perhaps the one in the front with A/C, but I did not see inside. My room was deluxe and for 500 rupees was excellent value, but needs painting and the electric sockets are failing. The windows are opaque glass which perhaps bothers me more than others. Breakfast was very good. I would like to give 5 stars for the kind, helpful family, but would only give 3 stars for the rooms ( I saw 3 ). The wifi was broken, a monkey trashed the modem, but they made a hotspot with a mobile phone which was very helpful.

Tarun Singh And his wife run a clean, basic homestay with excellent meals. He guided me for 3 days and I added over 100 species to my lists. It's an easy walk to the gates and you can then get rickshaws, bikes or just walk. Mr Sinugh can easily help organize transport to and from Agra too.

Family run place. One brother runs it, one does tours in the national park, and he's very knowledgeable about all the wildlife there. We saw around 30 types of bird (in March) plus antelope and a python. Very attentive service and tasty food. No wifi but we were invited into their living room to use their computer. Their father sits out front and reads the paper and chats to the guests. Really lovely experience. Cheap too.

The room was dirty, and the given blankets smelled of cow and filth. It was full of mosquitos and no net provided! We booked the room by phone after it had been recommended in 'The Lonely Planet', we couldn't check the reviews beforehand, as we stayed in a place where we had no Wifi or internet. On a positive note, it was nice to get a free pick-up from the station to the property. The national park was great and the property is close to it. This was the worst value for money on our whole stay in Rajasthan.

This Guest House is ideally situated; far from the noise but you can easily walk or ask a tuk-tuk to travel to the center. The room was clean and the service was very enjoyable. I ate a lot of rice with mix veg, it was really cheap and tasty. The delicious breakfast of potato pakora is also a must-try!
