Senthil Palace

The name 'Palace' is just them overcompensating for their lack of good rooms and staff. We arrived after booking in Oyo only to find out that they no longer are affiliated with Oyo, but only have the website. So yeah, first disappointment but still it was night and we didn't want to browse elsewhere. We followed the rude staff to check the rooms and find out that there's no WiFi or Cable TV available, which was shown in website. Rooms were real small and get this, there's no lock on the bathrooms, not in one but two rooms. We GTFO of there and found a way better hotel just 500m away (Geethan Lodge) for much lower price. The only upside on that terrible hotel named 'Palace' is it's closer to the Kulam, but totally a waste of time and money.

Rooms are fine, they are clean and maintained well. But the prices are too high. Not extras available, like extra soap, towel, paste, brush, toilets and hand pipe was not working in the room i stayed. The receptionists are friendly. Again reiterating the rooms are too costly. No food available. One night 2500 for a double room with one extra(2+1) 3000 for 4+1 Extra is not a bed, they provide a quilt and ask the extra to sleep in that. This made us book one more room which increased the budget. Felt like they did that to make us book a new room. Nearby shops are also costly. They pry at the devotees devotional beliefs.

We've visited this place on a fine Sunday so didn't find that much crowd in thirunallar. This lodging is located just 500m away from the main temple and is few steps away from the nalatheertham , this place is so calm and quiet and comes with a gated parking area behind the building. Service was good and the place is so clean . Its the best for families with more people because they've got rooms with 4 queen size beds , and costs accordingly which is pretty affordable. For a family with 4 I would recommend a double bed room which had 2 queen size beds . Restrooms are clean and drinking water facility is available . Better place to stay and to get a peaceful and home feeling!!!

The room which I actually booked was different from the room offered. Very small and unclean. The rooms should be in good condition for families as the rent is very high. Those who only prefers to stay very near by the temple can choose this place. But you should bare with the uncleaned toilets and tiny rooms. Though the Staffs are very kind and helpful, the price paid is not worth for the stay.

I wonder how this got 3* rating. I think people stay here if they have no option. Due to that reason management not maintaining the rooms. No option for me to rate below 1*. Smelly rooms, not clean , saw many insects like lizards, cockroaches , millipedes. Bed covers are not clean. Toilet is poorly maintained. Leaky taps. Fans also not working, not ready to fix and have to move to AC forcefully. Television not working and they not ready to fix it.

After seeing the reviews we were so worried about how the rooms might be....but it turned to be a great one the management had renovated the whole building and it's a perfect place to stay, would visit again and recommend my friends. Good clean rooms and friendly staffs. Helped us through the procedure and guided us to temple. Surely will come next time

Good place to stay. One of the best hotel in thirunallar good for families and solo travelers. Seeing the review was sceptical but they renovated and its super good. Will surely come next time. The management was so helpful.
