Grand Serenaa Hotel & Resorts

A nice and calm resort that's located at the entrance of Pondicherry. The main highlight of the resort is its swimming pool. They have a bigger kid pool and kids in the resort were having their time. Room services were on time and food at Restraunt is good. The improvement areas were the switch boards inside the room where all the charger points were loose and need some renovation on doors and washroom, atleast the room which we stayed. But those are not a big deal as the entire stay was great and we enjoyed the complete trip. Thanks Grand Serenaa for the wonderful experience.

Extremely Disappointing Stay - Not Recommended for Families with Kids I had one of the worst experiences staying at Grand Serena Hotel & Resort in Pondicherry. The room felt old and poorly maintained. The air conditioning was barely functional--either it wasn't working properly or it was intentionally limited to cut power usage, making the stay uncomfortable, especially with a toddler. What frustrated us the most was the unavailability of suitable food for our 2-year-old. We requested something as simple as steamed rice cakes and vegetable curry for dinner, but they had no options. We were forced to travel outside just to find food for our baby, which is unacceptable for a resort claiming to be family-friendly. While I do appreciate the complimentary breakfast and the fact that the staff served us even after the scheduled time, that's the only positive I can mention. The worst part of our stay was the chaos caused by a wedding event hosted on the premises. Loud DJ music started blaring from as early as 7 AM and continued through the afternoon. It was impossible to rest or relax. The swimming pool was overcrowded with unsupervised guests, and in the middle of the chaos, my son almost drowned. None of the guests followed any rules, and when I raised concerns with the staff, they did nothing. Clearly, wedding guests were given priority over the safety and comfort of other paying customers. This entire experience was not only stressful but also dangerous. I'm still shocked by the lack of responsibility taken by the management. If any unfortunate incident had occurred in the pool, who would have been held accountable? For the amount I paid, I honestly felt like I was staying there for free, that's how little value I received. I hope the management seriously reflects on how they treat families and regular guests during such events. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone, especially those traveling with kids.

We stayed here for just 1 day. I give 0/10 for this hotel. Power went off more than 10 times literally. By 9am nothing was available at breakfast , not just our family none of the other families gad breakfast. Chutneys, eggs, fruits, vada everything was empty. Lack of man power. And the attitude of the staff? Unapologetic towards the customers. I saw one of the manager instructing his junior no keep quiet if anyone asks anything until 10am so that they can close the buffet. And exactly thats what they did. Im an event manager, and i know exactly how these hotels work. Very cunning, dodging of their responsibilities and on top of it they billed 4 chais instead of 2 that we had ordered. We even had other families complaint over breakfast issues when we checked out. Fyi had one gentleman complaint in the reception where they had been hosting a wedding event- beeda keta Vethala Paaku matum vechurkanga, like, really?? Beeda kum verum beetal leave kum difference theiatha? Service is 0/10. Overall, I would never recommend and visit this so called property Grand serena hotel what so ever. If you ever happen to read this review , just pay extra and head straight to other better properties in pondicherry. Atleast you will have an experience.

Courteous and well behaved staff. No complaints with staff behaviour. They make you feel welcomed. Room service was delayed. Food taste is good and they take care of the customization requests for food.

Merci , Mohita, Balaji and Karthika did a great job hosting all my friends who arrived from Chennai with a wonderful hospitality. My friends were happy to revisit again. My friends had come with their new born and they had a good accommodation provided at Grand Serena

A so bad service in the hotel where a day charges are for 2500 inclusive of taxes and for an early check in its additional 3360 which is purely an unprofessional behaviour. Mohit, an front office executive was trying to communicate this so arrogantly,though it's a group check in and we've a check in of set of rooms but they're unable to adjust a single room for early check in. Really a bad policy and service,guys please avoid opting for this property. A big no. A bad choice.

Rooms are clean and pool is well maintained. Great ambiance to spend a vacation with the family. Well behaved staffs. The menu in the restaurant could have been better with a bit of variety.
