The Ashok Beach Resort

Pros : Property is very good. Rooms are big and view from the room is awesome. Price is also justified. Cons : housekeeping number no one responds and although they have private beach but it is not safe to bath as it is slant and deep. Beach entry closes at 6:30 pm.

One of the best things abt this place is the ambience. As you nourish the food, you can view the blue waters of the sea. The food (usually I end up having vegetarian items) is great and service is also reasonably satisfactory. Anyone wishing to spend a pleasant and peaceful luncheon/dinner should visit. Prices are little above average but still a worthwhile experience. The decor of the dining room can be improved considerably.

The stay was overall good We had a private room facing the seashore with a scenic view. There is a huge green lawn around the rooms. The staff were polite. Restaurant has good food options for veg, and the service was fast enough. As it's a private beach, they could maintain a few life guards for the guests. Many fishermen could be seen around the beach doing their job all the time. Overall a nice stay for family with some pool and play area for the kids.

The old property has clean rooms with clean toilets, which is a good feature of this resort. However, when you first arrive, there is no one to guide you; you must come and ask at reception. A large green garden with a view of the sea is the focal point; children can play and enjoy the swimming pool. Aside from that, the resort includes a beach, but you can't enjoy the water because there is no assistance and the sea is harsh and dangerous. The food is third-rate; there is no complimentary dinner, and when you order, you will receive expensive, bland food. You'll receive free coffee and tea in the evening, but no biscuits even. Despite being highly charged, it is not worth of 6000 rupees even.. You stay ... Use swimming pool and play in garden other than that zero.

Good location. Private beach access. Rooms at ground and first floor. Ground floor room has lawn access. Pool is available. It has the potential to become sought aftwr property but lack of maintenance and needs renovation. Lots of open area and lots of open parking space.

It is a clean and nice resort with a good swimming pool but no other amenities. Sea views are awesome but the beach needs more effort. Breakfast is good as it is mostly added in the package but lunch and dinner are awful. Instead go to the Sutherland royale, and have good food there just 500m away. Overall if I am getting it within 6k still good but more than that it is not worth it.

This resort is at outskirts of pondichery. It is very old property. The beach view from the room is just awesome. Its very nice place to relax with good pool and large garden. The food was very bad and very pricy. The rooms lack maintenance they have to renovate it. Overall nice place to stay.
