Hotel O Grand Residency

I was really disappointed by the booking I made. I won't blame the hotel but I will blame myself more as I should have inquired a little bit more about this one. So people who are booking in this hotel don't fall for the flashiness of the photos where they posted online. It's a place far away from the city where you have to travel at least 30 minutes to reach the main places and the service is actually poor. They do have the potential to grow but I don't think they are serious about it. This place is like a carnival ground where people come when the season arrives and leaves after that . So they didn't develop this hotel as a good one to serve all year long, the mattresses where bad there is only one housekeeping in there so he can't even cope up with the customers. If the rooms are booked completely (by luck), I won't recommend this place. If you want to see the city side and enjoy the beaches but I will recommend this place to those who want to stay quietly and enjoy some nice village vibes. Then this is the best place but apart from that I don't recommend this place at all

I give zero ratings for this hotel one of the worst place I ever stayed. Poor maintenance. There is no aminities as mentioned in OYO, no parking,no Wi-Fi, i have booked classic room and I have paid in OYO once I reached hotel they saying to no rooms available for classic, then I have paid extra and booked. Deluxe room and it's totally waste, the room tiny and it's not even comes under the deluxe category, and the. Very very poor maintenance I never recommended such hotels, they doing fake promotions it's not upto the mark of what they pictures posted in the app and the reality it's sucks. It's totally waste of money and time.

Booking this property was a mistake. It was an utter fraud. I would have given a negative star rating if I could. Take your money and check Google reviews before booking in this area. Let me explain. 1. The check-in process was horrible. We booked from MMT and the manager kept putting the MMT booking ID in the OYO app, naturally not finding it. He denied check-in right away without putting much effort or even understanding it. We had to wait more than an hour and after calling MMT + OYO we had to find the corresponding OYO booking ID before he let us enter the property. I am afraid this was not the end, things got worse from there. 2. The rooms did not have basic amenities such as a mattress and pillows. The hotel manager demanded extra money for these. The room looked nowhere like the one that was advertised on the website. It was a filthy, dirty room. The manager kept saying, it does not matter what the picture says, we will give you whatever we have as classic rooms. 3. Then we realized the manager had taken our identification such as our passport and Aadhar card and refused to return them until we checked out. Then he proceeded to physically harass us once we confronted him. This is not only highly unacceptable but also outright illegal. 4. He even sent us suggestive images on WhatsApp that are unprofessional and unacceptable. We had to check out immediately from this horrible place on earth. This place should not be on any hotel/BNB websites. Take your money and go somewhere else.

I will give zero if they have option to post. One of the worst and atrocious attitude ever seen for a manager who is in service field, and he is not fit to be in this field. I hope he doesn't know the meaning for pest control. After reaching there they showed us a room which is fit to direct a ghost movie in it. Found pests all-over the room and asked about it to the great and honourable Bala here comes his astounding reply the room being in ground floor always pests will be found in the rooms. And we had no option and moved out from this place and searched for another hotel with two elderly people and one disabled person. I'm really shocked because places like this kind still exists in this world. Suggestion to OYO please withdraw your contract from this Grand Residency or you people will loose your reputation. I'm being in this hospitality field for very long we never served like this.

This is the one of the worst hotels near the pondicherry.this hotel located outside the Pondicherry, when I visited the hotel it was in the village and nothing surrounded places like restaurant and road also not good, they posted the photos inside the hotel but never show outside hotel photos. Most of the cheap hotels are tied with Oyo rooms so this is one of them. If you book the room and if you go there they will charge extra money that is also collecting cash or UPI. My Hubble request please avoid these hotels and don't search hotels in Oyo because it will show all cheap hotels, if you go to the city then you will see the best hotels

Rooms are cheaper but ok for one day stay, but hotel owner insisted on giving 500 extra. Location is very far and in outskirts of village side pondicherry. I will not recommend for people without private vehicle. Dont fall for pics and prices mentioned there are great options otherwise

Yesterday staying this hotel... I think one of the best hotel ever in my entire life.. room service good... Staffs all r very kind..

Worst experience ever....The hotel is not that good and the keeper is more worse....We have booked it through OYO site and strangely the ratings over it is good...It was new year eve and almost all the other rooms in the main city are booked...We booked this soo prior and costed around 4k and later when we have reached over there the keeper demanded extra 4k from us else he said he'll not let us in...We tried reaching out oyo help desk they aren't responding finally we had to pay an extra amount for this cheap hotel and cheap management which is around 10kms away from the main city...If you guys are planning I would never recommend this hotel as sleeping over Beaches is better than staying here....Could be rated in negitives but no option available...
